These pads r built with safety & quality in mind. Stirrups r dangerous on childrens’ pads— usually cheap plastic & so small the child can b dragged. A girth/conch strap sewn all the way around & not just attached at the sides will cause pain for the pony/horse & thus poor equine behavior. Equines can b allergic to neoprene. No neoprene but thick felt in this item & excellent sewing. Very, very good product!
