Well worth it.
Best value, I have been looking at kindling splitters for some time. Ran across the wood splitter by East World for about 1/3 the cost of others I had seen. Delivered quickly, wood splitter was exactly as described, good sharp blade. I sell firewood to campers on Kentucky lake. I include kindling with all wood sold to make fire easy starting. I had been doing by hand with a Hatchet. Now using the wood splitter by East world I cut my time well over half. I mounted the splitter to a squared block and placed in box to catch most pieces as working. Use caution when splitting as fingers holding piece has no guard before cutting edge, would also recommend using wooden mallet, or dead deadblow hammer instead of metal, as to not flatten the blade when a piece splits easier then expected.

Works but not as well as I had hoped.
Based on another review, I sharpened the edge before use. Straight grain logs should split with no problem but if there is a twist in the grain it didn’t want to work, it actually started to bend the edge. This is the only one like this I have used and I’m not completely sold on it. Probably would buy a higher end splitter if I had to do it over.

You need a maul to use effectively
It has a lightweight and easy design. Base could be a little heavier but overall it works well. Cant set huge logs on it but you can definitely make more kindling than w a hatchet alone and with half the effort.

Great tool
I’ve had the splitter for about a month now, and rust is already starting to form on it. It works great but I know that I’ll have to sand it frequently to keep it from rusting completely.

Great for what you pay
This item ia what I expected.. Works great for what is valued at... only downer is the hieght limits larger pieces from being split

The edge was treated as a after thought.
I would of gave it five stars, but felt that the blade was basically dull, and look like the grind on it was uneven.

Needs to be bolted down
Works well when bolted done. Would be helpful if bolts were included. Edge bent very quickly but that hasn't affected usage.
