NAMASTE / VARIOUS

I love and listen to all types of music. But when I heard this CD I was completely mesmerized; I was completely "blown away." I have never had music touch me the way this music has. At first, I could not get past the first song, "Returning to Now", then I made myself listen to the entire CD without repeating some of the other tracks like "Horizon of Gold, and "Calling Wisdom". Then when I heard "The End of Suffering" I lost it! A river of tears streamed down my face for this song touched parts of me that I didn't know existed; it went straight to my heart. I just cannot say enough about this magnificent, meditative and blissful music. It is beautiful beyond words and I am so happy that I just happened to find it. I cannot stop listening to it. The entire CD is a work of art! And my husband could write a book about the "Meditation" on disc two. He was so awed by it that he found himself speechless when he tried to explain the experience. This compilation of song, music and meditation is worth far more than the money you spend. I am going to make this CD a gift to family and friends.

I am a yoga instructor. I love this CD for my Yin Yoga class and I also use this CD at the beginning and at the end of my classes. In the slower,quieter practices of yoga this is a beautiful CD to use and listen to. It is very meditative and relaxing. It really keeps you in tuned with your body and your practice. I would definitely recommend it to my friends, and fellow instructors. My students also love this CD.

The 2nd CD which is a meditation is awesome. Even tho it is only 15 minutes, it takes you to another place. I first heard it on my first day of MT class, and just knew I had to have it. It touched a place deep within me that knew this would be good for me. I urge anyone with limited time or just wanting to disappear from their world for just a short time to purchase this CD. The 1st CD which is music is great also, it's like a bonus, because I would have purchased just the meditation by itself. Namaste

I have been playing this cd nonstop eversince I bought it. I just bought it after seeing some of the other reviews. It is so relaxing and I agree it is wonderful to listen to as you are drifting off to sleep. It literally takes me to a relaxed peaceful place!!! Also this is great for any yoga or meditation practice.

Ultimately my class members rate my yoga CDs. Namaste produced only positive feedback from participants, no negative. It is very soothing with a few familiar songs. The only negative is from me. This CD is just under 60 minutes. If your practice is under 60 minutes it is not a problem. It would be great if the length of the CDs were listed with the product.

My yoga instructor played this CD at different practices throughout the last 2 years. I search for this CD the first time I heard it but for some reason I was unsuccessful. I was so pleased when I finally found the CD and have enjoyed it, not just for my yoga practice, but to listen to throughout the day as well. There is a guided meditation CD also included..not as sure about this CD!

I listen to one of the songs with the temple bells in one of my yoga classes and was completely relaxed by it. When I received the CD and listed to the songs that were on it.I was thrilled with the entire CD. I put this on when I come home from work and it immediately relaxes me. Beautifully done and a wonderful CD to listen to anytime.

This music really gave me some emotional effect, very moving. I love it from that point and I have been listening every day at my work with my ipod. I can feel my entire body with the vibration of the music/songs. I highly recommended it listening with a nice stereo headset. This is a great CD! You will enjoy it for many many months or years....

I had been searching for some suitable, relaxing music to use during my Pilates sessions at home and, as the description on Amazon states the CD can be used during Yoga practice, I thought that as there are probably similarities between the two it would be ideal. It's perfect! The music is beautiful, quite haunting at times and there is a mixture of singing and different musical instruments/sounds. The first track commences with the toll of a bell which I find helps to focus my mind on starting my Pilates routine. I use the final track as a meditation to end my session, as the music is soft and gentle, with a combination of birdsong and musical instruments - I'd like this track to be longer though, I often find myself pressing the repeat button! Very happy with my purchase, and would recommend.

I use this CD for yoga practice and it is wonderful. The melodies are haunting and create for me a deep emotional response during practice. The timing of the pieces on the CD is very good so working through a yoga routine is easy to match to the music. And it's just the right length for a good work out. There is a short intro with singing bowls that is good to start with and a quiet wind down piece with bird songs that is lovely to end with. In places the music is intense, At other times restful, meditative. Very very nice cd.

Have always been a lover of middle eastern influences. I just love the soothing organic melodies of the Namaste collection. Great music for relaxation therapy, yoga and mediation. Will definitely promote this great works of musicianship. Thank you.

This compilation is a very well chosen and varied collection, leading one into peace and stillness. Too many so-called "music for yoga" CDs have cloying, synthetic or simplisiticly repetitive sounds. These tracks are by meditators finding musical expression for their own meditation and so convey a true stillness that is deeply soothing to the heart and soul. Devakant's flute on "Blowing Zen" is pure meditation. If you want the real thing, this is it!

Lovely background music for meditation, prayer, healing, Reiki and just being to give pause in the midst of a very busy and active life.
