Size Name:D: 2m  |  Colour Name:Black CAT6Category 6 cable, commonly referred to as Cat 6, is a cable standard for Gigabit Ethernet and other network physical layers that is backward compatible with the Category 5/5e and Category 3 cable standards.Compared with Cat 5 and Cat 5e, Cat 6 features more stringent specifications for crosstalk and system noise. The cable standard provides performance of up to 250 MHz and is suitable for 10BASE-T, 100BASE-TX (Fast Ethernet), 1000BASE-T/1000BASE-TX (Gigabit Ethernet) and 10GBASE-T (10-Gigabit Ethernet).

Don't Waste Your Money - Fake Cat 6 cable
Dont waste your money on this product. It is advertised as Category 6 (Cat6) patch cable. Upon receipt, the cable is clearly not compliant with Cat6 specifications as the conductors are Copper Clad Aluminum (CCA) or similar. The cable conductor cross section visible in the RJ-45 crimp connector are clearly silver in colour, and thus, not copper as dictated by standards.Very poor quality cable, and not compliant with Cat6 specification as advertised. I will be returning the product immediately

The cable itself seems decent enough , I have used the cable to connect my p.c ( upstairs ) to my router downstairs via two holes drilled leading outside and feeding it through .Receiving full internet speed through it , 200+ Mbps. The exterior packaging was a good size to protect the cable but I was concerned with how it had been packed together . As I was un wrapping the cable I couldn't help but notice that in 4 or 5 different places the cable had been twisted, distorted marking the cable but everything seems to be working fine and it survived being pushed through the drilled holes I made,One of my only issues is with the next day delivery service not arriving until 6 the first night ( missed, work was closed ) and the second day it was gone 5pm which I would of also missed had I not redirected the delivery address.

Needs better product information
This cable works but I cannot verify that it works at Cat 6 speeds. It is not a bargain. I am pretty sure that it is what is called 'fake' cable (aluminium or copper clad aluminium, CCA) because it is quite light and the wires in the plug have silvery (not 'coppery') ends. Lightness has its advantages but not for my intended purpose (remote CCTV) which required flexibility, robustness and longevity. The route had a remote sharp bend that I thought might break it, and I also wanted power over ethernet, which it provides as delivered but I was unsure about its long-term performance. I have since bought copper cable which though more expensive per metre is more reassuring.I couldn't be bothered sending it back so I have pressed it into use elsewhere where it is more easily replaced, though I found the rigid lugs a bit of a pain when routing. All cable listings on Amazon should state the full specification of the cable, including the composition (100% copper, Al, CCA, CCS) and construction (shielded/unshielded, solid/braided, twists per metre) of the wires. We normally only get a fraction of this, this listing being no exception.

Bargain cable half the price than all the shops on highstreet. On my fault I can find on this is the sledging that it's in (the back plastic it's wrapped in) is very poor quality. It gets very easily ganged up with itselves and looks extremely matted and looks as if it's going to split.Needs better cable housing

Avoid - this is aluminium not copper
This cable is copper clad aluminium (CCA), not copper. It proved to be very brittle and unreliable in use.

Breaks very easily, best avoided
This is incredibly fragile, avoid it. I have broken this cable (and one of similar construction from a similar cheap brand, MHP), by just unplugging from a switch and putting a sticky label on the cable. Hard to believe but it really is that flaky.I have never encountered this fragility with normal patch cables that you get free with routers etc - even the ones that look knocked-around still work fine.Avoid this sort of ultra cheap cable - good brands from reading some forums seem to be Belkin snagless and Lindy.

As an IT professional I recommend
I have a 200Mb connection, I a gamer and an IT professional, basically used all cable from the router till my PC, and the speed reaches 220Mb/s, nice ping and not loosing package, left pinging for 1 hour (ping -t), router and google DNS server address (8.8.8.8), and no lost package.

Good quality cable for the price.
Bought this cable to connect my Sky Q mini box to the main silver box as I have been having WiFi connection issues with them. The cable was routed are around the outside the house to connect the 2 boxes. The system now works fine and the cable has done its job.
