Great product at a great price!
This is a great product! I recently moved into a new home, where, the gardens have been left to nature for a few years. There was a lot of weeding to do. To my horror, I found that the garden was completely covered in puncturevine / goathead weed spurs. This made any form of kneeling down impossible without some form of protection, which meant no weeding. I was shocked at the high price of the average garden kneeler and was beginning to think that there was no way i could do anything with all the weeds.I came across this product and the price was within my range. I thought I'd give it a whirl as it was cheap and I had nothing to lose. Well - I am delighted with it! It's made of a very dense foam rubber type material. I was able to lay it down on the ground and even with my 225lb body kneeling on it, it was comfortable. The puncturevine spurs were not able to get through the material. I couldn't even feel them through the pad. I even put it down on top of those sharp little decorative stones that people put down as a landscaping design and to stop weeds coming up. Although I could kinda feel the stones through the pad, it was still comfortable and I could weed to my heart's content! The pad does get pretty badly beat up but I use it in the garden so who cares?! I don't imagine the Queen is coming round my place anytime soon so no need for a pristine kneeling pad! As long as I have one that works then I'm happy - and this certainly works! I've put it through a lot of abuse the last couple of weeks and it might not look pretty anymore, but it still works perfectly. In my humble opinion this is an absolute bargain! It's such a simple product that works and is a great price!

It's okay, but not great.
I bought this hoping it would be far superior to those I can get at the dollar store. It is better, but not "far superior". I first used it in the vegetable garden in the heat of California summer. When I picked it up, there was all kinds of stuff stuck to and in it. I am not light, nor real heavy. ranging around 150 at the time, so I was surprised to see that the small dirt clods were embedded into the foam, which isn't coated with any sort of anything to prevent it from staining. I brushed the dirt and clots off and was disappointed to see there were still indents hours later. They did eventually go away. The foam, though far thicker than dollar store pads, is a bit softer than I would like. I bought a more expensive pad that is not much thicker than this one, but is firmer so I don't feel every clump and tree root under it. It is nice to use as a seat cushion though!

Don't really know what to do----had one from better homes and gardens for umpteen years and just worn ...
Finally opened it up today (Sunday), turned it over, and there's a 1/8 " circular gouge in it and goes in pad about the same length. Don't really know what to do----had one from better homes and gardens for umpteen years and just worn out. This brand new one on that specific spot of moving on ground will wear out in no time.....Thanks Larry

Does the job at a decent price.
I had wanted this to replace an older 1-inch pad THAT REALLY WAS ONE INCH THICK and quite firm... served me well for a decade. This pad is called "ONE INCH" but it measures less... seems to work ok. Handle hole has a spacer filler so all of the pad is useable for kneeling comfortably. Not expecting this one to last a decade... different foam and does not have a "tough skin" outer layer as did the original I owned. STAINS do not completely wash out.

Alternate use
My husband is using a "knee walker." That's basically a scooter you use with your bent knee after a foot/ankle injury requires you to keep ALL weight off your lower leg. After a few days, it's hard on the knee cap. While looking for a sheep skin kind of cover for the walker "seat" I came across a wonderful review that suggested this garden pad in addition to the cover. It's great. My husband's knee pain from using the knee walker is gone. The cover holds the pad in place, and the foam pad is both firm enough to handle the weight, and soft enough to provide full comfort. If it can handle this kind of all day use, it's a sure bet for gardening!

the size and color may turn out to be a plus because they store easily and i won't be losing it in the yard ...
I received the items on time and well packaged. The size of the pads were smaller than I thought but that was my fault. I haven't used the pads yet but I believe they will work well. the size and color may turn out to be a plus because they store easily and i won't be losing it in the yard as i have done in the past

This little mat is great. I've been able to spare my knees while planting seeds and transplanting tomatoes. It's thick and heavy and provides just the right cushioning while kneeling or sitting to "get things done." It's lightweight enough that I can move it quickly and easily as I change positions. It will certainly be one of those little helpers that I take wherever I go in my garden. I liked it so much that I bought another for a friend.

Great budget kneeling pad
Definitely saves the knees and all but a necessity when doing gardening work! This is a basic foam kneeling pad but thats all one needs. After a dozen or so uses the back side has a bit of wear but I expect it to last a couple of seasons.
