I do not like the non-stick heavy cookware that burns everything I make in it. I cherish my aluminum cookware bakeware and I only hand wash it. once my husband put my favorite aluminum cake pan in the dishwasher and it is now trash. Things stick to it very badly and it grosses me out to even look at it. **Q: Hi, can you flip the pan over and use the lid as serving plate?** A: Sure, but it will be pretty shallow. It would work great for cookies, sandwiches, and sliced cake or brownies. You could even bake cookies on the lid. It is the same material as the bottom and it is flat. A suggestion-- I gave these to my daughters and daughter-in-law last year. I took them to my jeweler and he engraved the top with "Homemade by persons name".
