The circuit function of the solenoid valve is normally closed, which means the valve opens when voltage is applied.The valve is suitable for pressures of 0.5 - 16 bar (7 - 232 psi) and a maximum temperature of 120° C (248° F). The valve has a Kv-value of 40.94 m3/h, which translates to a flow rate of 682.47 l/min at a differential pressure of 1 bar (for water). In imperial units: Cv = 47.33, which means 47.33 GPM @ 1 psi pressure drop. For simple applications it is often enough to select a valve based on the thread size and orifice diameter.
