Awesome bag!!
We purchased this bag for our bike tour in Europe. We just returned from 8 days of biking. This bag is fantastic. It endured many miles in the pouring rain in Holland. I wiped off the trail dirt at night and the bag was dry by early morning and ready to go again. It is a good size. Big enough to hold our rain gear, etc...yet not so cumbersome that we could haul it on our shoulder with the supplied strap when we were touring castles. It came very quickly. We actually ordered two separate bags as I needed to be sure it arrived in time. The other bag seemed to be identical to this one. I just chose one to keep and returned the other. Good price as there were others on the tour with us that paid three times as much and their bag was awkward in size to carry comfortably. .Campstoor Mountain Bike Bag 600D multi-functional Oxford Waterproof Bicycle Bag Cycling Rear Seat Trunk Bag Panniers Bicycle Accessories (Black)

Not for me or my needs
Meh... For the size that it added to my rack and judging off of its exterior dimensions, it doesn't hold much. My U-Lock (a big lock that can lock two bikes) alone can barely lay flat inside. By the time I toss a few items in, there's not a lot of room left. The pannier cant hold much, not that I would trust my cargo in there anyway; I stuffed a hoodie in there a couple times. I guess it could be a good on-off bag, seeing as it comes with a shoulder strap and the velcro straps aren't too finicky. The last straw was the seams splitting after I stuffed my winter jacket into the main compartment on a unseasonably warm day. Returned it...

Spacious and useful, now with some improvements!
UPDATE:The manufacturer contacted me about this review and worked to "make me whole". They made some changes to the product based upon the feedback I provided in this review; namely it seems they reinforced the stitching on the rack straps and used thicker material for both the rack straps and the carrying handle straps. I've only had it on my bike one day so far, but it seems considerably sturdier now and I expect that this one is going to last.Original review follows:Pros:• Lots of space! Side paniers, then an expandable top. I can fit an entire outfit in the top section expanded (though admissibly, I have small feet otherwise the shoes wouldn't fit.)• Fastens easily to a rack.• Stays stable on the rack.• Rear light/reflector clip hookCons:• First week I had it, the fabric connecting the top handle went threadbare. It should be gone soon.• Today (second week I had it) I bumped it with my foot while getting on the bike, and the straps attaching it to the rack both ripped apart and the bag fell straight off the bike. Now I'm going to need to bungee it or something.Based on this, I doubt the bag will last very long.

There are a couple of things that were much better than I expected
I really wanted this to work well. There are a couple of things that were much better than I expected. It appears to be waterproof in addition to having the rain cover. The side bags that fold out are made of the same durable material as the main bag and appear to be waterproof as well. The space in the main compartment was smaller than expected and I had a hard time fitting my U-lock in there comfortably with a change of clothes. It did work okay as I just had the end of the lock stick out a little bit on the end as there were two zippers which was a nice feature. Unfortunately for me, after using it the second time, one of the handles on the top came completely out on one side and half way on the other side. I thought to return this and try again as I can understand if the stitching does not catch it completely this can be an defect that might not be representative of the product as a whole. Then after spending 20 minutes on the phone with Amazon trying to return this (as running around to return something at the post office and waiting in that line is not my idea of how I want to spend my very few spare moments) my husband then noticed that one of the two velcro straps that attach the bag to the bike rack was half way unstitched as well. If the return process was not so time consuming I might be willing to try it again but with two defects and the return process, I think I will try something else.

Really wanted to like this bag
Some great ideas in this bag but the actual product fails in quality. The biggest issue was the straps that keep it attached to the rear rack on the bike. One tie down strap failed on first ride (30miles on pavement). I'm lucky it was the rear strap otherwise the bag would've been flailing around even more than it was on the last two miles home. I checked the rear rack on the bike and there are no sharp edges. The stow-away side bags are a neat idea but there needs to be some structure to them because they caught in the spokes.Next bag I buy I'm going to put my money towards a better know brand like Top Peak.

The first bag arrived with a bad hook and loop strap on the bottom that unraveled ...
I've got two of these bags. The first bag arrived with a bad hook and loop strap on the bottom that unraveled and would not hold the bag to my bike rack. The second bag (a free replacement) is perfectly functional and there are no defects at all with it. I like the reflective stripe around the bag and that it has a handle, a shoulder strap, and best of all: a rain cover. The saddle bags don't tie down or attach to my frame and they're soft, meaning they don't have a stiff backing to keep them rigid. They do hide in the side pockets, however. I was not aware that the bag has an expansion zipper at the top so if you need a little extra space, there's that. Otherwise, it's an OK bag overall. My original bag is being used as a first aid kit in my car and the second bag is now a backup for my bike. I really like that the saddle bags fold away when not in use, but that sort of robs a bit of space for extra carrying capacity such as my tools and repair kit. Still, overall, a good bag.

Good Size for Fair Price
Good size bag for a fair price. Be aware that it might not fit a fat bike rack without a little tweaking. I used some zip ties to secure the bag to the rack...not a big deal since I won't be removing the bag very often. Bag is big enough to hold a bike lock, wallet, phone, small bag of tools and repair kit, two drink bottles, two bananas, and a small bag of nuts. I didn't even expand the top or use the panniers. It's certainly not top of the line, but the quality is probably fine for most casual users.
