Robust Server, like the management features
Pros:2 x 1GB Network interfaces1 x Network interface, which can be used for managing the serverTakes 4 x 3" hard disks, great for freenas setupRe-purposed the sata port meant for DVD drive, for boot disk (just needed Needed sata power splitter)Great server for freenasCons: (Or mistakes I made at least)1) I had read up on CPU's before, however ordered this machine before I realised that the CPU Xeon E-2124 was not great for plex transcode, no graphics on chip, and does not support Hyper-Threading, on the plus side the server was cheap and a great deal, I will not be doing too much encoding so works out for me.2) When ordering the server I purchased 2 x 8TB HD's for storage with the idea of expanding the storage later with two more. (I had been reading too many nas review, and assumed freenas could handle extra disks like synology does) It doesn't, so I ordered two more 8TB disks before filling server. Had I realised I needed 4 disks, I would have purchased 4 or 6tb drives to keep budget down, so this mistake had a positive result, plenty of storage for my new freenas setup.
