I have a couple of similar calipers and use them a lot. This one seems as good as any. Actually one of my previous calipers was a cheap “carbon fibre” set from China, metal is much preferable, so this one is better and worth the few extra pounds. This one is (in my personal opinion) one of the least expensive but still decent quality callipers.Edit - now had these callipers a few years now. One small issue cropped up today. Device suddenly started reading half the distance it should have. Measured 1.5mm as 0.75, 5mm as 2.5 mm etc. took out battery and put same one back in and it started working fine again.. just thought I would mention this rather weird event in case anyone else has a similar glitch. Still happy with item.

This purchase replaced a previous tool with which I was very happy. It's replacement appears to be equally good. The vernier readout it more accurate than traditional calipers, and the locking feature makes it easy to maintain a reading in use. The reverse blades are great for reading internal measurements, and the range of the tool is impressive too. At the price, this is an extremely good tool, and great value.

My Northbrook digital calibres were delivered next day and were well packed. They are made from quality steel making them a robust tool with a handy case for protection when carrying in my tool bag. The calibres were instantly useable straight from the box and the digital panel is very readable even in poor background light. Very happy I bought them and feel they are good value for money especially with a spare battery.

This item is so inaccurate as to be useless. The readout jumps around all over the place.

I've been meaning to invest in a pair of Vernier calipers for some time and was moved to purchase these to measure the dimensions of an 'o' ring for my bath plug. They were received promptly, are well made and are in a sturdy box - and even came with a spare battery! Very easy to switch between metric and imperial measurements.

The metal is quite poorly made, roughly machined, and wobbles around a lot. I get an inaccuracy of ±0.06mm, when measuring the same object multiple times. When returning to zero, it usually has an inaccuracy of ±0.02mm.Despite the above, it works, and it's suitable for hobby use when you just want quick measurements, but it's most definitely not for serious/precision work!

Really good Vernier caliper. Very well made and nice in the hand when using. Looks far more expensive than it is. I found it very accurate and would say it would compare favourably with the best. Well pleased as I use it for fine work. Definitely recommend, and excellent value.

Die Backen des Messschiebers schließen nicht gleichmäßig ab und somit hängt das Ergebniss der Messung davon ab, an welcher Stelle des Schiebers angelegt wird. Desweiteren sind die Backen leicht gegeneinander verdreht. Somit ist das Produkt für alle Messungen die eine Genauigkeit haben sollen mit weniger als 0,5mm nicht geeigent.

Ottimo per il fai da te, preciso ben curato, non c'è aria tra i due becchi e le punte sono veramente soddisfatto.

Les deux becs à l'arrière sont censés être en contact quand on ferme le pied à coulisse, on a un bel écart de plus d'1mm... déçu, déçu, déçu

Costa poco ma vale ancora meno. A dispetto del display digitale che fa pensare ad una buona precisione, il corsore balla rispetto all'asta e la misura è influenzata da quanto si tira la vite di bloccaggio. In aggiunta il cursore di misura non è rettilineo per cui la misura è diversa se si appoggia l'oggetto vicino alle punte o a metà.
