This fireplace was bought to replace an adams style fireplace in my mums house. She is getting less firm on her feet and was worried she would trip on the hearth but loved having the light from her electric fire. Our builders (electrician and odd job man can do the job) removed the old fire and opened up the hearth securing it so that the hole was bricked up at the bottom and safe to fit the fire. This was the worst of the job. Once that was done it was simply a case of slotting it in. The glass front/surround removes easily so that the decorating around it is easier and you are not concerned about damaging it.The flames are fabulous and the colours change easily with the remote control. Mum chose the wood effect option instead of the glass beads and it looks stunning. Mum feels safe now and is happy using the remote control, even with very poor finger control due to arthritis. The heating option works but has not been used yet as not needed, hence the lower star leave for that.Great fire, very modern, sleek and good looking. Very mcuh well worth the money.

The media could not be loaded.  Received my Digital Flames fire very quickly after placing my order.I am bsolutely delighted with it. The quality is amazing and it looks so much more expensive than the price I paid.It gives the room a real focal point and creates a warm atmosphere.I would highly recommend Digital Flames.

Do not buy this product, the product started to bellow smoke out of the top and an orange glow could be seen inside, luckily we were able to switch it off before a fire started however if it had been unattended heaven knows what the outcome may have been, the seller also claims the product comes with a 2 year manufacturers warranty which is a false statement you only get 1 years warranty on certain parts the only part which is covered for two years is the motor????? and therefore I have been miss-sold, if you don't want your house to burn down then do not buy this product, Trading Standards will be informed of this and I'm hoping Amazon will also investigate this

The fire looks nothing like the image however it is a nice fire which was easy to install.

Remote easy to operate and my plumber did not struggle to fit it. This heater kicks out some serious heat but comes from the bottom away from the tv on top!and the different flame effects are really good - happy with purchase and worth the money

Looks the part but not being fitted until the end of Jan 21Delivery was 3 weeks (2 weeks early so all good) plugged it in to see it’s working and all good so far.I will update after fitting,Well it’s now fitted - points to noteThe fire has to be 500mm off the floorThe hight of the fire is fineIf you want to fix a TV above on to the Media wallThe next gap it has to be 1mtr above the fire lineThe TV at this point will be at ceiling height.I have recessed the TV and dropped the distance to 200mm to help accommodate/ reduce any heat risk to the TV.Take careful note of all the pictures they show of the fire, there is no tv installed above them !I never noticed this at the time but hopefully all will be well by recessing the tv from the front of the fire line.
