Treeshelters are an important tool when attempting to establish hard-to-grow trees or when working on challenging sites. Developed in the United Kingdom in 1979, Tubex treeshelters are used in over 25 countries around the world. The twin-walled, solid, translucent tubes provide maximum protection from animal browse, wind, chemical sprays and equipment. In addition, the greenhouse environment created inside the shelter promotes growth. Tubex, the world leader in the development and manufacturing of treeshelters, has the product solutions that work. Today, Tubex treeshelters are considered the standard for seedling protection by foresters, wildlife managers and woodlot owners.

Worth the price for happy saplings
In March we planted 7 tiny twigs of trees, 4 different species, no leaves yet, maybe a foot long each, from the Arbor Day Foundation. We're in western NC. I cut each tube in half, leaving me with 1 tube unused, added an extra ziptie to each and staked them in. All of them have grown well! The runts are even happy, though still much smaller than the others of their kind. The tubes definitely help retain moisture and keep the sun from burning the leaves. We've had months of no rain and killer sunlight (which killed a bunch of my flowers) followed by a month of rain every night and there was very little stress seen by the saplings in their tubes. As they grow taller I might buy these again and not cut them in half. They are very much worth the money!

Can't believe how fast the trees are growing inside the tubes compared to other tubes.

Good to cover trees
Good to cover trees. Have not used it but a couple of months but I expect to do well. Saw these in woodsboro, md town park and watched for several years and they seemed to do a good job

Satisfied enough to order 25 more for this year's plantings
Greatly increases the growth. Side by side with and without, oaks and birch doubled in height in the Tubex. I only staked then up with old bamboo canes I had on hand. I feared they'd blow over in the winter. Only happened to a few where the cane broke off at the ground. I originally ordered 50 for pear, oak, birch, apple, and maples. Satisfied enough to order 25 more for this year's plantings.
