With "New Horizon", THE ANSWER releases the most thrillingly vital album of their career to date. This album is a statement of intent that showcases their trademark rock 'n' roll evangelism. Produced by Little Angels front man, Toby Jepson and mixed by the renowned Mike Fraser (AC/DC, Metallica) with artwork by the late Storm Thorgerson (Pink Floyd/Muse/Led Zeppelin). You might know them from their 2008-2009 Worldwide tour as opening band for AC/DC on the Black Ice tour!!! For fans of AC/DC, Black Crowes, Led Zeppelin, Airbourne.

Great album, but...
First of all, I have no idea why nobody knows about this band. The first three albums are flat out incredible. Raw at times, but full of fresh blues-based and honest Rock...I put a lot of hope in these guys to keep the spirit alive. I understand the business side of things that kept them from capitalizing on the success of the tour with AC/DC, but I was really hoping a stronger release than this one. After exploding out of the gate with "Rise" they dispelled the notion of a sophomore slump with a solid offering on "Everyday Demons". "Revival" is just flat out amazing as it compromises elements from the first two, but adds so much more to the songs themselves (a full chorus in "One more revival", background vox in "Nowhere freeway"). While "New Horizons" is not as strong as previous releases, there is still some great material in here. Sure, you're not going to find the power of "Come follow me" or "On and On", or the diversity offered by the "Cry out/why'd you change you mind/pride" combo, but there is still plenty to jam to ("Spectacular", "Somebody else", "Scream a Louder Love). Where they fall flat is with songs like: "Burn you down", "Feel the fear" and "Baby kill me" which kinda sound recycled to me.Still, totally worth the listen and Waaaaaaaaaaaaaay better than most of what's out there.

The Answer...Yes!
Great album! The Answer are a band from the north of Ireland and they rock from start to finish on this record. I got into this band when I saw them open for AC/DC on the Black Ice tour. When you go to see Angus Young (the most riveting guitarist on any stage...ever) and come away thinking "The Answer were awesome!", then they must have done something pretty special. There are some outstanding tracks on their latest release, New Horizon. Leave With Nothing, Spectacular, Concrete, and Baby Kill Me are all outstanding songs that are available on the standard edition of the CD. The deluxe edition includes 3 bonus tracks of which Road Less Travelled and Real as it Gets are stellar. The vinyl has another 3 exclusive tracks. White Flag is among those and is also available on iTunes...great song.If you know about The Answer already, then you probably already own this. If you are just discovering them and you like straight forward rock and roll, then you should check out this album as well as Revival, Rise (their debut LP, not the EP), and Everyday Demons. These guys haven't put out a bad album yet.

One of the best bands around
This is another good album from the great band The Answer. While not as good as their incredible Revival album, this one doesn't disappoint. The most interesting thing to me about this album is that even when a song isn't grabbing me at first, they come up with some great riff or chorus change that completely changes how much I like the song. That said, I think the 2 star review here would probably be higher for that reviewer with another listen or two. I you like a heavy, bluesy classic rock sound like Led Zeppelin or The Black Crowes with big choruses and riffs, check these guys out.

Awesome CD
This CD is just Killer. I've been following this group since I saw them on a TV concert show and just totally loved them. I've been lucky to obtain all 4 CDs and listen to them constantly. If anyone out there doesn't agree I don't know what to say. The Answer definitely know how to rock. Buy this immediately and you won't be disappointed unless you just don't enjoy good old fashion rock and roll.

Fourth Effort From Likeable Irish Band
I like this album but it`s not the super strong album they needed. The songs just aren`t quite strong enough. I really like this band but am a little disappointed with this album. I was hoping this would be the one that made them but frankly, their first two are still their best. If you love the band, it is worth getting. I`m glad i bought it.

True Classic Rock Album
This is one of the BEST classic sounding rock albums to EVER be released. This band has not only created a great rock album, they have done it without ripping off some other band. They have developed their own sound and made classic rock modern.

Expected greatness and its kinda lame
I like THE ANSWER quite a bit - they're a newish remix of Free, the mighty Zeppelin and AC/DC. Great vocals and guitar work - its just the songs don't really do it for me. They're last disc was killer.

back to basics
Their last album was really not my cuppa at all. This is much more like it, some great tunes and hangs together well.Production of the vinyl at any rate is superb - not overdone. My only criticism and the reason for the 4 stars is, its not the stand out album I was hoping for.I cant help feeling that I have been waiting for the Answer to truly live up to the promise of their first album. This is a much better effort, but I`m still waiting.

Good but not their best.
I bought t this on the strength of their past cd's and although it was good it wasnt up to their normal standard. I have liked the music of The Answer for a while now and was hoping to hear something really special this time , but it failed to deliver. Everyday Demons was fantastic and to me it was their best work so far. Its not to say i wont buy their next cd or the next one after that. But i am disappointed.

Great hardcore rock !
I didn't know "The Answer" until I got this CD and have been hugely impressed. I don't like to label bands as sounding like such and such so will just say for me this is just excellent main stream hard rock. All sorts of influences come through but come together for a refreshingly different sound. There is also a good mix with a couple of great rock ballads, "Call yourself a friend" is particularly good.I would strongly recommend this to those who enjoy rock from Black Stone Cherry to Guns n Roses.

Purely from a music prospective "Brilliant", be aware that my copy didn't contain the DVD as per the product description, i couldn't be bothered with the nonesense of returning the cd, maybe i should have, anyway any Rock fan out there should get this, and the rest of The Answers albums they are truly a top Band.
