Fantastic tool!
I'm starting my second season with this fantastic tool. This works so much better than the traditional hose to skimmer basket vacuum. Two huge white pine trees are near my pool and I am plagued with needles all year and those little pine seeds in the early summer which, if they aren't immediately captured by the skimmer, sink to the bottom of the pool. One battery charge lasts a long time so I can make short work of cleaning my pool. One recommendation --- I use pool skimmer socks in my skimmer (which have trapped lots of gunk which would otherwise go through the filter). The first time I used the vacuum the inside of the bag was covered with this gunk and was hard to clean so I now put a pool sock inside the bag. It's amazing how much the pool socks capture. After hosing the large gunk off the pool socks I put them in the washing machine and reuse them many times.

Perfect for an Above Ground Pool!
This is a must have, especially if you have an above ground soft sided pool. I can never get the wrinkles out of the bottom completely and I had an automatic vacuum that would end up getting stuck and the battery would eventually die.I decided to go with a hand held vacuum since I am extremely particular about debris in my pool. This vacuum gets everything! I have sand around my pool ( never do this!) so I am constantly fighting the battle of sand at the bottom. I come out every other day and vacuum the pool completely. Yes it’s more work than an auto vacuum but for the precision and price , it can’t be beat! If you are like me and very particular about getting every last piece of debris out of the pool then grab some headphones , get in your pool and vacuum away!

Does a great job
I must admit this is our 2nd pool blaster. We purchased this very one and used the heck out of it for 3 summers. It finally died when we started it up this summer and I thought I'd look for something that may have more lasting power but after a week of searching I just went ahead and reordered another one of these since the price hadn't changed. I have seen that pool stuff doesn't really last longer than 4 or 5 summers but I want it to work beautifully when it does. My 4 stars is only because I wish it would have lasted another couple of summers but it does work well. READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS

Just Buy It!
Game changer for me - no more using the pump to clean! Picks up leaves and the smallest debris, including sand that drifted out of the ladder. As others stated, pull sweeper out of & away from the pool completely when turning off. Turn the bag inside out when rinsing. If your sweeping gets interrupted, start completely over… do not simply put back in pool as any contents in the bag will shoot out everywhere. Only struggle for me has been the charging hookup … a little wonky but I’m getting use to it. Nice improvement would be some indicator of how much charge is left. Would most definitely buy again.

Not useful for any reasonably sized pool
Having read other reviews I thought I'd try this on our 15 foot by 20 foot in ground pool. The first thing I noticed after unpacking it was the small size of the collection bag, and the fairly narrow diameter of the nozzle - which suggested it wouldn't do well on any reasonably sized leaves. Even so I decided to use it after a dust storm to see how well it coped. The results were disappointing.First, the collection chamber is tiny - even if it had worked well, I would have had to empty the bag every few minutes. Second, it got stuck on quite small leaves, which blocked the intake and wedged open the small plastic return valve in the vacuum tube - meaning that when I took the vacuum out of the water and switched it off, a large amount of dirt and water came back out of the tube onto the pool surround. In operation, the unit is buoyant, which means you have to keep a downward pressure on the pole to keep it in touch with the bottom and sides of the pool. It was only truly effective for a few minutes, after which as the filter bag became clogged by dust particles, it started to leave large streaks across the pool bottom. As others noted, it has a weird connector for recharging which was difficult to use - but other than that first charge, it won't be an issue, because I'm unlikely to use it again. Given that I've already used it once, and the filter bag is full of gunk, I guess I can't return it. But if I could, I would. I would not advise anyone to buy this unit. Save your money and go with a bigger, more capable unit. This might be OK for a small above ground pool, or a spa. For an in ground pool of any size, it's really not workable.

Get this thing, you'll thank me.
You can buy a special nylon type sock to go inside this that will allow it catch this super fine dirty and algea, making this the must have pool accessory. Had mine a couple years now and no problems. This is primarily used to get the little stuff that your pump vacuum shoots right back into the pool because your filter can't catch the tiny microns that always seem to form in a pile in the middle of your pool.

Most difficult battery charger…..
The charging plug is more than wonkee…..seems to be held on by a magnet or two small magnets….getting it on correctly took about 20 minutes…..have to press and turn….and still a trick…..going to have to be careful because I can see this easily broken….in the technology age….this is ridiculous…..an older similar unit just plug in….and worked well …this is just weird. The jury is still out…..on how well it will work…

Great vacuum! We love it!
This vacuum is perfect for keeping the pool clean.. We were able to clean our 18 x 32 pool four times on one charge. It’s so much easier than using the vacuum attached to the pump and it’s easy to operate and clean. We already bought additional filters because we’re not sure how long the original filter will last, but so far, we are pleased how well it cleans up after each use. We are happy we purchased this product!
