Nothing is added and nothing is subtracted from this steam distilled essential oil. It comes straight from a distillery in north east Texas using locally sourced trees. Straight from the container, the darker scents of Juniperus Virginiana wood alcohols will predominate. **Q: Does fox cedar oil have an expiration date?  how long will the effectiveness last if i don't open the can until 4 months from date i receive it?**
A: No, we do not have an expiration date. If the can is not opened and is kept at below 100 degrees F, it should last for at least 5 years.

**Q: how do you open it? am I supposed to puncture with a screwdriver or open with needle-nose pliers?**
A: Unscrew the lid and puncture the inner seal with a small screwdriver nail, icepick or other sharp tool. The inner seal can then be popped out.

**Q: Is this clear?**
A: Our oil is very translucent. You can see through it in a clear glass bottle. But the oil is not colorless. It is light brown with a red tint.

**Q: Is this water soluble? I have read from many sources that distilled cedarwood oil doesn't require an emulsifier**
