Good enough for what I paid
As previously noted by other buyers, this is not sturdy at all, however, it does the essential job of holding things next to the bed. I had searched extensively and all 'sturdy' tables which could swerve where very expensive & bulky. I gave this 5stars for being a simple, light swivel table to hold remotes, medication, ipad, etc.Of course I wish it was made stronger & heavier so I could feel safe about putting liquids on it but hey I'm just glad I found it.

Useful little multi-purpose table
I am using one for a mousing surface, my girlfriend uses one for a laptop stand on the sofa. They work for both purposes. They do feel a bit on the flimsy side, and the only method of attachment for the table portion is the screw that also controls the level of the table. For now, im happy with them and we will see how well they hold up.

Not a good value
This is a very flimsy table. Not able to support a cup of coffee unless leaning on sofa arm. Table top (adjustable) does not sit flat & narrow metal base & leg are just not sturdy enough to stand straight.

Lightweight, tippy, and hard to adjust
It is indeed unstable, particularly if the top is swiveled away from alignment with the base. I bought it to hold biggish books (modest textbook size) and it held them reasonably well for reading in my chair, though the lip isn't really quite big enough to even hold an iPad with case on it without slipping. But if I swiveled it away to get up, it fell over. The swivel requires you to adjust a connector in the upright; no just pushing it aside. So as a chair reading device it is a definite fail.I'm now using it as a fairly wobbly occasional table to hold a few light objects.

limited usability but reasonable quality
This should probably be called a tray rather than a desk, as it has somewhat limited application. The quality was adequate, even good for the price, but two issues caused me to return mine. First, the tray will not securely support enough weight to act as a substitute for a "tv tray", which was my intended purpose. It would be good for an average book or some remote controls, but I would be afraid to put a meal or a drink on it because it doesn't seem secure enough. Second, I failed to take into account that the base (foot) of the tray needs to be inserted under the bed (or mattress, I suppose) to provide additional stability. Since I wanted to use it by a recliner, and there's no clearance under the side of the recliner for the base, it was necessary to turn the base sideways, which compromised the balance and stability even further. In summary, not a badly built tray, but seriously consider how you will use it before getting one.

Great for my laptop
I needed a table of sorts for my laptop. I am disabled and have a special chair. This laptop desk is perfect. It's way better then the photo, it adjusts perfect to what ever position your in when sitting in a chair or laying in an upright position in bed. I give it five stars for sure

swivels out of the way and base fit under standard recliner
this table's surface swivels to move out of your way. i wanted it for my laptop to stay beside my recliner. because of shoulder surgery, i really needed the swivel aspect. it is a little wobbly. my husband managed to temp. attach the base to the underside of the recliner and now it is perfect.

Cheap.....
.... is the word to describe it. I use it to put a couple of remote control and cell phone on it.It won't hold anything heavier than that. If you cherish your laptop don't buy this. If you don't want to spill hot food on you, don't buy this. This bedside table is as cheap as stuff you find a dollar store.
