If your Vita-Mix is beyond the warranty this is a great way to replace the variable speed that will eventually fail. I’ve had these replaced more than once on our machines. We have 2 of them in case one goes down. My wife uses it every single day, sometimes twice a day.You’ll eventually need one.

This was a perfect replacement for the light on my wife's make up mirror. Much more heavy duty than the original switch. Although I did have to do some tweaking to make it fit, it was not bad at all. The old knob even fit the new switch.

I had a Zadro magnification mirror with a switch that went bad. Apparently this is a common problem according to reviews. Our switch went out within a year and I wasn't wiling to just throw away a $100+ mirror for a $2 part. With just a little bit of soldering knowledge, it was easy to replace. The only issue is the stem is longer than the OEM part. I didn't bother cutting it down since it was more aesthetic than functional.

Works well in equipment.
