Mini Exercise Bikr
My doctor recommended to me that I should get a mini bike to exercise after my two hip surgeries. The bike is good for strengthening the affected leg, the core muscles, and to help regain balance. The bike has different intensity levels, so I am starting at the lowest level. It also has a monitor that provides useful info such as time spent on exercising, the distance covered (though in meters, which I still have trouble with), And calories burned.I've placed the small bike under my desk and have begin using it as I work on the computer. This is a nice arrangement as I can exercise and work at the same time. I've only just started to use the bike, but it seems to do exactly what the doctor said it would. I hope to be off the walker and cane soon with the use of this convenient exercise bike.

Easy to assemble
Perfect! My last bike was really loud, this one is like a whisper. Also, it was really easy to assemble which was nice.

Product Information has Errors
While there are some good comments I can make about this item, I am disappointed in that the product information is incorrect. It says, "Multifunction LCD monitor display, easy to read LCD screen displays RPM, time, speed, distance and calories burned ..." It actually displays time, distance in meters, count, total count, and calories burned. Let's look at these.Time - as expectedDistance in meters - well after 40 minutes the display was 0.507 Meters (about 1/3 mi IF this was KM), so my distance is about 20 inches! Really!?!RPM and Speed - This is what it is suppose to display, and what I wanted to know.Count and Total Count - This is what I got instead. The User Guide says, "Accumulates the number of movements made by cycling (pressing down on the pedals) during the workout session." Is that how many times I press each pedal or what? Total count just keeps counting and cannot be reset unless you remove the battery.Calories - A disclaimer states that it is an estimate (at high resistance) and is not medically reliable. On the positive side, it was easy to assemble in a few minutes. If you just want to pedal to get the circulation going or to start moving again following knee surgery, safely in a seating position, this could be just fine for a reasonable cost.

gets you moving
I like that it has a digital display so you know how fast and how far you have gone. And you are staying active without too much effort. It also lets you excerise your arms. I am a senior and it helps me get active and exercise.

Unimpressive appearance, Performance even poorer
At first view, this portable bike exerciser looks like a good, inexpensive alternative. The first problem is that it wanders, big time. The manual makes several suggestions for solving this: a non-slip pad, hard floors and more. None of them worked for me. They also helpfully included a nylon strap to affix the bike to your chair. This did work, but it'd s big hassle. You lose use of that chair for anything else unless you unstrap the bike. For me, a recent knee replacement made getting on and off the bike rather difficult. The pedal force was not uniform throughout a revolution, so it felt like I was loping instead of biking. This did improve after a few minutes use.Perhaps the most disappointing aspect was that the resistance adjustment knob wouldn't stay set for more than a few seconds. If I "rode" long enough, I'd end up with no resistance whatsoever, and back to the loping feel.I waited too long to return this bike, but it's just dead metal to me.

BE EXTREMELY CAREFUL
I recently had cervical fusion surgery and needed to find something that would provide me with a way to get VERY LOW IMPACT exercise. The pedals on this thing move sooo jerky. No matter what amount of tension Ievel I tried the pedals would not move smoothly. I was in so much pain the next day I had the thing taken out of my house immediately. I wouldn't recommend it even if I weren't injured. It's $49.99 for a reason and should be $29.99. I hate leaving such a bad review but I don't want anyone else to suffer like I did after using this.

It's a bike, it's OK
I am a little too short to reach the pedals comfortably, but the resistance adjustment is fine. The pulse sensors do not work; well let me correct that - they work once in a while when they feel like it.The meter eats up batteries quickly, which is odd.The machine itself was easy to put together, but if you want to move it afterward it's a pain (as I said before I am short so moving things in general is kind of difficult.)Overall it's OK, it' gets the job done else-wise.

Not a good product for slippery hardwood floors
Before even using this pedal thing, I gotta say it goes together well and is pretty sturdy. The reason I'm giving this 2 stars is the grips on bottom are about useless. I'm constantly having to move this thing back to where I need it. I have hard wood flooring, this probably isn't an issue on carpet or laminate flooring but it slips all over on mine. All it would take is a more solid foot to attach the grips to, and add 2 down the center mass as well. As it is, the grips are large enough but the piece they attach to is swiss cheese so there's only a small point of contact with the ground. For the first 2 minutes it's great, then it starts to slip. Going to continue trying for another few days but will likely return for a real recumbent bike in stead.
