Old West Boots Men's Joseph

We bought these boots and they fell completely apart after 6 months of normal wear. Sheplers would not refund or exchange for another pair because they were worn and we did not file a request within 30 days of purchase. A second pair was purchased directly from Boot Barn who owns and sells Sheplers products online only. The boots arrived and after one day of use they had massive wrinkles and cracks across the top of the foot area. A call to Sheplers directly resulted in them telling us they have never had any problems with these boots before but we know better. Two sets of these boots purchased 6 months apart and from two different venues turned out to be either extremely poor quality or defective and they will not honor any return policy.

The color is not as dark as it looks in the picture.The box was totally damaged, ripped and mutilated.The shipping "box" was a gray bag -- which got here OPEN!!I'm keeping these boots just because the price is low, and it's inconvenient for me to deal with returning them.The boots themselves look OK, not made with great quality materials.Some threats were coming out, so I had to "melt" them short. The soles arrived with black marks as if someone had wore these boots before.I won't recommend anyone to buy this boots, they're not worth the money. --Made in India-- Seems like less quality from Made in USA or Made in Mexico.

I hope my star rating isn't too misleading. These seem great - they're very nice looking and much lighter than other boots I've worn without feeling cheap. The problem is the size.In most shoes I'm an 11 but the 11Ds I ordered did not come close to fitting. I actually went to a local shop and tried on several pairs from different brands in this style. An 11EE fit me well across all of them so I ordered these in that size and they still were way too small.Again, they look great, seem well made, and are very light weight but my suggestion would be to order a wider size than usual.

The brown color is really in need of immediate polishing because it is a rather un-energetic tan. It was sung and then settled in. I measure at 9.5 and got a 10, which fit well. I feel that the boot is the right size for a 9.5 foot, in order to give sufficient space for my toes. I returned a 10.5 which was too large, which meant that the heel slips in the boot. I am not afraid of an initial tight fit with a leather boot. For the price, that is less than $60, it is a good deal. If you are going to do something strenuous with the boot, you may want to look at some higher end products. I am $60 satisfied, but wouldn't have been for $150.

The sole is rubber. The upper is supposed to be leather but it does not appear to be - the texture is all wrong and there are white threads coming out of some seams which appear to be coming from the backing of the upper material.. The heel: Not a roper heel. It's slanted like a western boot heel - defeats the purpose of buying a boot with a walking heel... I'm very disappointed and do not intend to buy from Old West Men again.WARNING: Sheplers will not pay for shipping if you need to return the orrdered item! That is really cheap...

Love the boots. Look great, are comfortable even on the first day. My second day, I wore them all day for like 11 hours and man they are comfortable, no sore feet here. Got the Distressed Brown color and they are tough on resisting scratches and blemishes. Overall, great pair of boots.

Perfect fit....a little snug but they stretch. Very comfortable and the price is better than the Justin boot and they are more comfortableI will be ordering more of these bootsUpdate October 2018....I have had four pair of these boots and I have got great use out of them. They are still in great shape after4 year only had to have the heels replaced and thats because I'm fussy. Two out of the four pair of Boots I donated them tosomeone who couldn't afford new boots and they are still wearing them. One black and one brown pair.I love these boots for any type of wear. The black boots will spit shine. I have worn them in formal, work, riding motorcylesthey are my every day wear. I'm in the process of buy two pair and donating my present one to another person.The key to make a boot last long is not to wear them every day. Rotate them out and polish them. Wow, got a 9EE can't even get my foot all the way in the boot. Saw it was made in INDIA, guessing EE means really long and narrow in their language. Never in my life have I put on a 9EE and not been able to put my foot all the way into the boot. Now I have to go through all of the trouble of doing an online exchange and return. To be honest, I am so pissed off that I can't use the words that I want to use.
