As an Asian American, I grew up in two worlds. We had rice every night after piano lessons and Chinese school. My mother fed all 5 of our mouths with bamboo and ivory chopsticks. When I grew up and had a Silicon Valley house of my own, I started glancing through "home" magazines. I was inspired to match the tableware, linens and our antique silver tea set. I sought out silver colored chopsticks that would sit nicely next to our western fork and knife. I soon found out that stainless steel was in danger of corroding. The last thing I wanted was for my guests to have a bad taste in their mouth! Solution? My friend in China introduced me to the metal called titanium! Once she found the perfect titanium chopstick, I had her design the chopsticks in three traditional shapes: rounded, square and flat. All either have etchings and/or engravings. For instance I had the Chinese characters for family on my square chopsticks. This particular pair has a crane etched into the titanium. The Chinese 3 characters mean blessings and good fortune. The Chinese character above the crane icon simply means "crane" I hope your dinner guests will compliment your fine taste in dinnerware - both American and Asian!

too heavy, too slippery, too expensive
+ seems solid, not hollow- but this makes chopsticks too heavy. combined weight is about 1.7oz, the same as 2 AA alkaline batteries. imagine eating a meal while holding 2 AA batteries in your hand. not comfortable.- too polished and slippery. also, cheap looking like the stainless steel chopsticks I bought from a junk store in Taiwan. not like the product pictures that show a matte finish with precision cuts.- for this price, a case or bag should have been included. like almost every other pair of titanium chopsticks on Amazon that sell for half the price.

Not recommended!
The name is misleading! The material is not titanium!

Appearance doesn't quite match the photos on the product page
I like titanium and I use chopsticks regularly so why not have a pair of titanium chopsticks?Well they arrived yesterday and don't look like the photos on the products page. The photos depict what seems to be titanium chopsticks that have been machined. With crisp groves and ends. But what I received was something that seemed to be formed somehow (sorry don't know my metal manufacturing terms well).I will be returning them.

Nice Chopsticks, Poor Packaging
Nice product. They are quite heavy (thus being solid, not hollow). Easy to use & comfortable to hold. Don't be fooled by their advertisement of 'attractive packaging'. These came in a heat sealed plastic bag with a paper insert that depicted an image of much nicer chopsticks. If I gave these as a gift, I would think that I received the wrong chopsticks in the package based on the packaging. A little box or protective sleeve would have been nice for the price.

Fantastic chopsticks, but slightly slippery.
I collect titanium items, and recently bought the Titanium Alley (TA) and the HealthPro Titanium (HT) chopsticks.I much prefer the TA ones. They feel a lot better in the hands, and more substantial. Solid titanium. The HT ones are hollow tubes, and feel like it. I tried using both TA and HT with a variety of a foods, and much preferred TA.With one exception -- the M&M test. The TA tips are a bit slippery to pick up a smooth candy. The HT tips are slightly rougher. At the top of the TA chopsticks, there is a lovely rectangle with Chinese characters in a slightly rough patch. The tips of these chopsticks should be done with the same slight roughness as is in the logo.Highly recommended.

Perfect! Size, weight, quality, price - perfect!
These are perfect! Size, weight, quality, price... You cannot go wrong! I bought the square ones last week and thought they were pretty slick. The round ones are even better.Note they come polished. I used a propane torch to heat anodize mine to give them a bit more character.

Heavy and slippery
Of the two types of titanium chopsticks I purchased these were my least favorite. They were heavy and have a shiny surface that is pretty slick. The HealthPro Titanium chopsticks were notably lighter and have more of a matte finish that makes them easier to use.

Love these
They are very slippery. But if you happen to have something that you can use to buff it out a bit so it's not super smooth they are awesome.
