HONBOO Batteries (3-Pack) and Triple Charger for GoPro Hero 7/6/5 Black,Rechargeable Battery Accessories for GoPro Camera

The product is really compact and charges 3batteries really well with Red, Yellow, Green indicator lights. GoPro battery is also compatible with charger.My issue is with the cable. The connection is really weak, and if you move it slightly you lose charging capabilities. I used the GoPro charging cable to connect to the module and it had a better connection. I also tried to use the cable to charge my GoPro, to have a good backup but it does not connect to the GoPro well either. If I put just the right amount of pressure, you can see the charging indicator light, but it goes away quickly. The connection has to be perfect for it to charge well. If you see in my pictures the GoPro cable is completely connected, while the Honboo connection is still sticking out.

So I know the "after market' GoPro battery scene. After looking over this product I decided to give it a go against my past history. I ride a motorcycle and having a charger like this would make it a secure way to charge my batteries while on the go. Currently my batteries fall out of the charger or just come loose enough to not charge.However I never got that far as the charger never left the house. I found the batteries to charge really slow if all three batteries are depleted. I put the HonBoo batteries through about 3 maybe 4 cycles (depleting them and then recharging them). The batteries did "okay" but I was not getting the run time stated. The biggest concern came with my GoPro locking up. This is a brand new camera and I had it lock up 3 times with the Honboo batteries, never had the issue with the GoPro batteries.Also another issue I came across. I threw my GoPro battery into the Honboo charger and let it charge up over night. The following evening I went to pull it out and put it in my camera. I recorded a total of 5min 48sec of video and the GoPro battery was down to 38%, unacceptable. Yes the battery was showing a green light as being charged. Product description states the it charges GoPro batteries as well...While I really wanted to like this product I just can't for the price, it will be getting boxed up and shipped back. If it were a lower price point I might have kept it just to have backups to my main battery stash. Given the issues with charging, run time, and camera lockups they need returned.

Your browser does not support HTML5 video.  The only reason why I didn't give it 5 stars is because the charging cord connection into the charge box is super sensitive and falls out if it moves around slightly. Other than that, it is a great deal since one GoPro battery goes for 18 dollars. The battery duration lasts as long as the factor battery which is a over an hour of 720p video.

The battery lasted just as long as the original GoPro batteries and charges just as easily. When putting the battery into the GoPro, it must be placed inside at a bit of an angle because otherwise the label catches on the outside lip of the camera battery slot.UPDATE: I found that the batteries began to last a little bit less over time, but not much less. However, there is definitely a discrepancy in the battery and the camera that needs to be addressed. Sometimes, the battery had to be removed and placed back into the camera in order for the camera to recognize a full charge.The biggest problem I found was that the charging device does NOT charge each battery separately. Rather, it charges on a series circuit, where all batteries charge simultaneously on the same circuit line (and more slowly)- as opposed to a parallel circuit, where all batteries charge individually and on their own circuit lines (thus, more quickly). If one battery has more charge, then it seems to lose some charge when a battery next to it has less charge. I placed a fully depleted battery into the charger for storage with a battery that was fully charged and when I removed the fully charged battery, later on, for use, it was mostly depleted. I thought I had the wrong battery, so I removed the other for use and guess what? it was also almost depleted. Go figure.I did NOT have any issues with cords not working or staying connected properly, so for those with that issue, perhaps it's a straight up defect and you should return and get a new set.

Went on vacation and bought the three batteries so I would have plenty of battery for the GoPro. The GoPro battery lasted much longer than the batteries sent. Seems like the go pro battery would go to a sleep state while there battery just died over time. Have three of them so it worked out, but not great. Going to buy the Go Pro battery, though the charger is likely good for three batteries. The battery was also just a little tighter in the battery compartment than the OEM Battery.

my go pro 7 got so hot i could use it for a hand furnance in canada in december!! They are wrapped in a foil thing, wich makes them bulky. I torn one trying to put it in my camera and it didnt work. Camera wouldnt turn one. Carfully put another one in and used my camera and it got hot as hell!! had my 7 for awhile and use it alot, never had that happen.use your money for something better, they are cheaper for a reason.....

There is several issues with these batteries. The main one being that they do not last anywhere near as long as the original go pro. It will also go from 100%-0% without any use. This is happening to all 3 of my batteries so it’s not limited to a single battery. The issue is consistent with all 3 batteries that came with this. Save your money. These are definitely not a great alternative to a go pro original battery.

I used them briefly when I got them, but not enough to write a review. I am on vacation right now and really getting to put them to use and my Hero7 constantly is frozen or won’t even turn on. I have had to take the battery out and put it back in numerous times. When the batteries aren’t messing up on me they are fine. The battery life and charger is great. I am happy with that, but the actual use of the batteries themselves has not been for for me. When I use the actual GoPro battery I don’t have any issues with my Hero7. When I get back I am going to see if I can return these and get a refund and buy GoPro batteries. Maybe I got a bad batch, but all three have not been good for me.
