The epitome of smart smut goodness!
Part of the fun of reading a co-written book is seeing whether the authors’ voices are distinct or blended. With this book, I didn’t know where one started and one stopped. They were able to create that magic where the characters were just Logan and Devi and there was no wondering where Sierra or Laurelin were in the process. That’s a gift, my friends.Should I start with the sex? Hell yes! The sex in this book is the hot-hotter-hottest-need-to-left-hand-it-right-freaking-now kind of sex. Was I surprised that these two would bring the heat? Not one little bit. The book is about actual porn stars; of course it needs to be hot. I had no idea it could be that erotic though. Damn.Logan O’Toole is the thoughtful type of male character that you dream about finding in real life but worry that could only exist in books. Who could possibly be this smart, this caring, this awakened, this feminist, this perfect ideal? He was introspective and oh so careful to make sure he was treating his partners with the utmost care. Sure, he had some bumps in the road and made some mistakes along the way but Logan O’Toole might be the best book boyfriend you could find. He’s so dreamy! I love him!And while Logan is this dreamy perfection, Devi Dare is a goddess. Oh Devi! She is brilliant, and kind, and gorgeous, and feminist, and sexy, and I loved the pieces we got to see of her Farsi background. I loved her views of porn and her desire to work in feminist environments and her ability to trust her instincts when in a dangerous situation. She made many brave and hard choices throughout the book, more so than Logan. For me, Devi was the real hero of the story.Logan and Devi work together to film a reality porn show but how much is real and how much is for show? What happens when feelings develop and you have to reconcile f-cking other people on camera while the person you love watches? The whole idea of an open relationship fascinates me. Is Devi ok with it? Is Logan? This is where the book really takes off for me. The feelings they have on the subject and the eventual outcome results in a thoughtful, beautiful, wild ride.I would be remiss not to applaud the authors for highlighting the problems that still exist in the porn industry. Since porn has become so mainstream, we think it’s a mythical happy place of positive sex but there’s still a murky underside. As we saw last year, sexism still runs rampant and women are put in dangerous situations. It’s important to pay attention to which companies we are watching. Finally, thank you so much to the authors for giving me a small part in being a porn-star! And I didn’t even have to take off my clothes! It was thrilling! If you haven’t read Porn Star yet, you must! Go give it a 1-click so you can fall in love with Devi and Logan too!

Insightful, playful and sexy
Good story with sub plots that work seamlessly with the main story. Can't help but love the characters and their quirks. Interested insight into the behind the scenes of porn.

Come on...you can admit to loving this Porn Star!!
I knew this was going to be good. Laurelin Paige and Sierra Simone have reputations. Take that how you like, but it's complimentary. They simply rock!Within a few chapters I was Googling. Googling lead to more interest and before I knew it I was watching porn for educational purposes. Who knew??Logan O'Toole is a confident, driven man with a dream job. There's not a scene he can't own, not a model he can't or won't satisfy. He may not have been recognized by his graduating class on professional aspirations, but there's no one arguing his proficiency. Appearances can be deceiving, though. In an industry of quantity, you wouldn't think that an unforgettable encounter with one woman would result in a desire that spans years. An encounter that exposes the "chewy caramel center" of a suave porn star.Devi Dare. What a babe! Add that character to my girl crush list. She's young and open, but despite her self-assurance in some areas she is a great mixture of timid, flirty, and sexy. But she has a brain. And it works! Someone might challenge her choice of income and they may have some misconceived notions about what is an appropriate, lady-like way of life, but whatever. Devi is precious. She has such a well developed character. It's no wonder Logan is enchanted. So, what will Devi ultimately choose?I love the dynamics between the two characters. Logan has some insecurities. He is a man. That comes with the territory. He compensates with his desire to make the fantasy perfect. He has this "big" feeling. It may be a combination of several emotions; pride, love, accomplishment. The conflict occurs when he assumes the choice for Devi. His maturity in the industry, his need to shelter, clashes with Devi's feminism. How can both exist in a healthy relationship? You find out at the end. Which brings me to the epilogue. Gah, it's so good!! I love this combo, Laurelin and Sierra. There's elements of two great authors and we are privileged to read them together. I know when my eyes glaze over and I re-read a paragraph a few times that Sierra has written a scathing scene with some sexy (maybe butt) stuff. Those passages of inner dialogue that have me questioning feelings and emotions, but making perfect, justifiable, sense, that's Laurelin. I simply love it!I also appreciate that these authors respect the adult entertainment industry. They acknowledge the indiscretion and wrong and promote a better business for everyone, consumer and talent. Awareness will provoke change. Support the the change you would like to see.

It's More than Sex Scenes; It's a League of Its Own
I was more than curious when I saw this title. A porn star falling in love? It's something I would probably shy away from if it was anyone other than Paige writing it. I knew she would write a compelling, well thought out novel. These ladies have done their research! They've managed to capture the modern porn industry in a way that is real and not fantasy or idealistic. They touch on a lot of the current issues that are plaguing actors in pornography like actor consent and piracy. It really grounds these characters and their stories, making the reader feel like this could actually happen in real life. This is just as much a love story as it is a character building story. Basically, it is everything I love about New Adult. I want to see these characters battle their demons while falling in love. Is it an easy path? Hell no! And that's what makes this journey so enjoyable as a reader. This is a very sex-positive story (if you couldn't have guessed from the title). Notably, I like the focus it gives on sex in a relationship. I think some stories add the heat as a "fan-service" as sorts; like an expected feature to show character chemistry. But here, it is an integral part of the story and heavily influences the romance. Are these two really in love with each other or are they in love with the personas they are on screen? It's a fascinating question and one that is asked throughout the novel.

Emocional e surpreendente

WOW!!!! I love this book.
Aww, you know when you reach the end of a story and you just want to keep reading because the characters and lodged in your head so deeply it’s like they are living there? Well, Porn Star is one of those books. It’s freakin’ hot and a steamy, sexy ride full of insights into the porn industry that no one really thinks about. It was quite a revelation too, for me at least in the beginning. We all have our favorite ‘stars’ but when I read about Logan O’Toole and how he had a social media account, I looked for my favorites on Facebook. I certainly didn’t expect to come face to face with what I found.Weirdly, my hubby knew about it. But, as I said to him. I did not know that! I was shocked and a little disturbed I have to admit.Thankfully, Logan is not based on him.No, Logan is a hot alpha male porn star in his own right… and he’s in lust/ love with the hottest, cutest smartest little femme porn starlet, Davi Dare. She oozes sex appeal and determination in equal amounts. The chemistry between these two is off the charts, in the stars as Devi would say. They had one scene together three years ago and both have been hung up on the other since, even though they never worked together again or really spoke either. Until one night at a party.Logan has an idea for a new type of adult entertainment show and asks Devi to help him with it. Devi agrees, because let’s be honest who would want to work with the star of their sexual fantasies? It’s all going great until their ‘real’ feelings get in the way.I don’t want to say any more or give spoilers, but really, you need to buy this book. It is so, so good. I wish there was a sequel.
