I bought it by mistake when it came up on an Amazon search for “K-pod coffee brewer”. Sending it back. **Q: can you use any coffee cup and not just travel cup?** A: You can use any tall coffee cup. **Q: Can you use K-Cups for this and how?** A: No, it does not take k-cup or any other hard shell. It takes either soft pods, which are like tea bags, or it takes a disposable filter if you choose not to put grounds directly in the mesh basket. I have never used the soft pods, and I do not like the occasional coffee grounds that get through if I put grounds directly in the mesh basket.
