Batman Returns [4K Ultra-HD] [1992] [Blu-ray] [2019]

I wont talk about the film in terms of quality of the script,plot or its camp style. This art piece has made it easily into my favourite top 5, 4k blu ray discs of all time as of 2019, it might even take the number one slot. I couldn't take my eyes off it. A Thing of sublime beauty. Yes it's shot on film and yes there's some grain, however that never distracts from the quality of image on display here and where grain appears,its completely organic in nature. True drama blue lighting, with teals, greys, solid blacks and hints of reds that have immense depth, richness and detail, it had me drooling. The most pleasing cinematic and beautiful 4k catalogue title disc I've owned or seen to date. Any fans of the movie or Tim Burton and any movie buff really, will not be disappointed, its amazing quality. This is exactly what I want from the format and restorations. No new dolby atmos mix, the dtx x is fine, beside its the true 4k DI image that gives you the candy you crave. I Have to keep popping the disc in for a fix every now and then. I kid you not that I've had more pleasure out of this disc and Ridley Scotts Alien, than most modern zero grain digitally shot movies. Fully recommend to all cinema buffs. A wonderful presentation of art if you have the right equipment to display it. The better your HDR and the size of your screen will complete and compliment the experience. 5 stars easily.

Great film and a very good 4K transfer looks totally fresh like it was filmed yesterday and good atmos soundtrack which is so much better than previous dvds and blu ray

The movie is dark - not only the picture but everything shown here. The characters, the city, the mood - I love this one even more than the 1st one. The picture quality of the 4K disc is really good!
