Automatic Watering Timer, 2019 New M20 PRO, Single Outlet and Flexible Programming, Easy Hose Connection with Simple to Use Digital System

I needed a timer that would fit in a difficult/tight space and this timer being a shorter overall dimension than some of the others I had looked at was why I decided to try it. It works very well and the problem noted by other reviewers seems to have been corrected as the seller claims. I have purchased a second one to use in another location after finding the quality of the 1st one to be good. The button to expose the area to install the needed 9-volt battery is kind of stiff and needs to be depressed firmly in order to release the parts, but seems like a pretty minor flaw and might just be me.

The product concept is ingenious. It is a cheap alternative to an expensive +$200 electronic timer, which turns ON a lawn sprinkler from inside the house. Instead the user programs the device and hooks it to an outside faucet. Based on the programming, the product turns ON the water on a weekly schedule up to four times per day..Here are the "good" and "bad."..ADVANTAGES.1. PRICE: At $20, it is cheap..2. INSTRUCTIONS: They are simple enough to understand. The pictures and diagrams help very much. The font size is adequate for seniors with vision problems..3. FEATURES: The LCD screen is detachable. For this reason, the user is able to program the device at home and insert it into the fixture that is already attached to the faucet. The screen font size is adequate for viewing...DISADVANTAGES.1. The device should be metal construction instead of ABS plastic. As it hangs on a wall faucet and is attached to a heavy hose, the weight eventually cracks the fixture, creating leaks and destroying the device. Several reviewers experienced this defect within two to four weeks..According to the company, its latest revision made the product more robust with "better material" to prevent this problem. On this matter, I would give the vendor "a benefit of doubt.".2. There is no warranty. Nothing is stated in writing. For this reason, the 30-day Amazon sales policy is the only consumer protection. If anything goes wrong afterwards, the customer has lost his money..3. There is a "typo" on the third page in the instruction pamphlet. The last sentence is incomplete: "Under freezing condition, disassemble the timer and bring it indoors to pre-"..----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------..UPDATE: On paper, the product sounded great. In actually practice, it was totally useless. Despite the high praises by my colleagues, I did not have a good experience. Here were the problems:.1. It was DOA. After programming the device, it did not turn ON the water as scheduled..2. The gaskets were either undersized, not thick enough, or both. Water dripped through the seams: on the joints and where the device screws onto the faucet. I tighten it as much as possible by hand and with pliers. The drippings continued and were enough to fill a gallon container in 60 minutes. That is 24 gallons per day, 168 gallons per week, and 744 per month..Until this leakage problem is solved, it is totally useless.

Easy to use, have to watch when you attach the timer to hose bib fitting or you will lossen the fitting based on the thread design. Other than that great product

Returning and reordering these. They are easy to set up but the timer did not turn on automatically. I had to turn it on manually, but it did shut off like it was supposed to. I'll try the new one and see if it comes on and rewrite review later.

The connector threading is just barely too big / loose. After a day or two of normal use, the connection to faucet/hose comes loose and you have water leaking everywhere. Otherwise it's a great product, they just need to fix the hose connection.

Got this product as a replacement for an older different product. Ordered because of the price. I could not be more pleased. The product works great and has did exactly what it was meant to do. Product is durable and seems like it will last for years to come. Thank you for the great product.

I have one of these that worked great. I ordered again and both the one I received and the second one won’t stay together under water pressure. The ring that attaches the faucet fitting to the device seems to be made from a too soft plastic and it pops off. My water pressure at my house isn’t particularly high (around 40 psi). The first one is still holding. Strong but #2 and it’s replacement have popped off, one right away and one after one day. Running water uncontrolled in my backyard for a few hours. Sad, I really liked the user interface, easy to use and the first one has been keeping my fountain filled for over a year with a one minute a day runtime.

It does what I need, for a good price. Had to add a second washer to the faucet to stop it from leaking there (and tighten until you think it is going to break). Programing was easy after watching video and using manual. Except that for it to actually execute the schedule, you have to play with the off button to get rid of the rainy day icon on the bottom right of screen.
