Dark Bamboo Placemat Table Mat Set, 18 1/2 Inch, Set of 2

Ordered these to replace a similar set we've had for over 10 years. Very durable and stand the test of time. They look great on our dark wooden table.

Saw that a family member had these in Germany and I couldn't find anything similar back in the States. These have the exact same dimensions as the ones that my family member has, and I might be ordering more so that she can have a complete set. My only warning with these is that at the beginning, the finish comes off a bit when you wipe the mats down, nothing bad, just be aware and don't be surprised if this happens to you. You can wipe them down and clean them and the color does not fade, but the bleeding stops eventually.

Well made however the stain does come off easily onto anything under it.

i bought these as a gift for my boyfriend and he really loves them! the wood is nice and has a little weight to it. the mats are adhered together strongly so i can see them lasting a really long time! they’re more elegant and really can compliment the whole room!

It's nice to look at but after multiple wipes the weird red stain they used for the bamboo comes off. Its permently stained a few of my dish towels when I went to gently wipe it down after use. I've had to spray it with a clear coat to hopefully prevent the staining. We'll see if that helps. I gave it 3 stars because it's annoying to have to try to clean it without rubbing off the red varnish.

They're match perfectly with our dining room. Great workmanship. Easy to clean and I can leave them on the table.

We wanted nicer mats instead of those cheap vinyl ones. It's surprisingly hard to find basic, rectangular, dark brown wooden or bamboo mats, and these seemed to fit the bill. At first these seemed okay. Not very pretty with the heavy plastic holding it all together. But then I actually got a splinter from wiping it clean! Like a tiny ass splinter that I had to dig out with a needle and tweezers with my non-dominant hand, no less. And now I'm noticing that the wood discolors VERY easily with heat. There are stains from spilled tea, even though I immediately cleaned it up. I've had these mats for a grand total of 6 weeks and am already searching for new wooden ones.
