Great read and lessons.
Good read for teams leading creatives! The creative mind (I could make an argue me that that all minds are creative too) need leaders thinking about the environment they create.

Brilliant, effective
Todd elevates leadership to a new level, he inspired me with each page. I was captured by this book on a recent vacation, I couldn’t put it down! I bought a copy for my whole management team, and I can’t wait to see his work come to life with our company.

Biggest Impact on My Philosophy of Leading Creatives
I read this book when it launched and it played a significant role in shaping what I now believe it means to be a good leader to creatives. My role had shifted and I was giving leadership to a function and I knew I needed a new philosophy of leadership. I read a bunch of books over the course of that transition and this was the most approachable. It features lots of practical examples that hit home. When I look back on the past several years, this book had the biggest influence on what I adopted as my leadership philosophy. Using some of the tools and ideas helped me break down barriers and empower the people I get to lead. I read some other dense, academic texts that had some great principles, but not nearly as many as were featured here - and definitely weren’t written as concisely. This book was career-changing for me and I’d recommend it to anyone leading creatives!

"If You Don't Lead, We Lose"
This book is unlike any other book about leadership. It it structure to guide the reader and introduce, as well refresh techniques needed to effectively lead intellegent people. There is an index, because effective leaders prefer to use their time wisely and find the answer sooner rather than later. Leaders who understand that learning is something one must neer stop doing are the target market for Henry's Herding Tigers. Again, i would suggest using the book as a guide, referrring to it when your role as a leader greets you with an hump. As you work your way through the book Henry will suggest other books to expand you rknowledge, amazon has also, I'm sure, suggested a few. That being said there is no need for me to do so here. If true leadership is in you, you will come into contact with everything you need as you go through your journey.Do by a physical copy and a pen.

Practical Advice from Someone Who Gets It
I discovered Todd Henry via his Accidental Creative podcasts. I’ve spent my career in PR and integrated agencies and was blown away by how practical and helpful his advice is to help keep teams at the top of their game. What I love about Herding Tigers is that it reflects Todd’s time in the trenches and in coaching real teams. He gets the real issues that can stifle teams, like burdensome processes, teams that don’t understand or empathize with each other and working so hard we struggle to do our best work creating on demand. This book has been great for me as a project and account manager to have a better idea of how to drive progress and collaboration between teams. One of my favorite tips is to protect creative people from the red tape of an organization so that they aren’t bogged down. I immediately stopped including them on every client email that really doesn’t pertain to them. Every team could benefit from this read.

Not Just an Education, An Evolution!
How do you lead people who live and breathe non-conformity? And, maybe more important, if you've been one of those hyper-creative nonconformists for years, but then have the opportunity to step into a leadership role, how in the world do you make that transition? How do you provide the freedom needed for those in your charge to feel creatively-nourished and fully-expressed, while also creating the constraints needed to meet client demands and flourish as a business? These are tough questions, and the fundamentals on the ground are changing so fast that age-old answers and approaches no longer get the job done. This book isn't just an education, it's an evolution! It takes you by the hand, and provides a gateway to the next generation of leadership ideas and strategies for a creative culture that is constantly-accelerated and fueled by creativity, purpose and collaboration. Read it, then live it!

Must read!
This book is a must-read for anyone who manages creatives. I bought an extra copy for my design manager to better help her manage her design team.Herding Tigers helps to explain why "creatives" think and act the way they do. Knowing this will enable you to get the best results from your team by creating the optimal environment for them. This book also helped explain why I acted/reacted in certain ways when I was a younger designer.

May the CREATIVE force be with you
You'll want to read this book—it's brilliant! Being creative on-demand is tough and when talented people work in a group dynamic there are forces at play that need guidance and support in a way that other management approaches fail to address. Most managers fall short because they're trying to supervise and control the processes, labour, and output of their team. In contrast, Herding Tigers helps you bring out the best in your team through the power of influence and empowerment. You'll love reading this.

Hands-on and inspirational at the same time
This is a short and handy manual for any leader (or anyone aspiring to become one), whether creative or not. I truly appreciated the mix of no-nonsense advice threaded with a moral and principled approach to leadership. I have taken many notes and will no doubt refer to this book in the future to better chart my own leadership journey.
