"You're far more special than you realize, more than I dreamed"
I bought this book on 4/11/19 and I apologize in my heart of hearts that I am just now reading this. And I could kick myself for not re-reading Beauty and The Billionaire. I read it on 2/4/19 so it's been almost a year. I have been a fan of Lauren Landish since February 2016. And out of the 58 books I have from her there has only been one book I didn't enjoy. And it was simply the fact that someone's mother fell in love with her daughter's friend. And it creeped me out. So there was technically nothing wrong with it, it just wasn't in my wheelhouse. But this book was really good. It had it all. It was filled with so many emotions. I actually didn't cry until the epilogue when Gabe took Izzy to his brother's (Jeremy) grave. Then I cried like a baby (you have to read to understand). Gabe saved Izzy. And Izzy saved Gabe right back. I felt for Izzy. She had a rough go and was trying extremely hard to make it. She was going to school. She was working at The Gravy Train. She was living her life. But until she met Gabe, she was just living to survive. And once Gabe came into the picture is when she came alive. Gabe was transformed by Izzy. His growth as a character was phenomenal. I really liked Izzy and Gabe together. They had an amazing chemistry. I fell in love with these two. I was glad to hear from Thomas and Mia. And of course Charlotte. All three of them played a significant role. And then there was the Mysterious Blackwell. The Godfather. He is the one who hired Gabe. I actually enjoyed his thoughts. I actually would like to see him get his own book. Well, that is if he lives in Happily Never After.I really enjoyed this book. It had so much going on but it was so worth it.

No So Prince Charming:A Dirty Fairy TaleBy Lauren LandishGabriel "Gabe" Jackson after meeting Isabelle "Izzy" Turner. Our eyes meet . . . and inside me, I feel more conflicted than ever. Because in the first meeting of our eyes, I feel what I’ve thought doesn’t exist. The Spark. He was hired to kill her by Blackwell for an on going need to destroy his rival Thomas Goldstone especially since she helped foil his latest attempt at company espionage.Izzy or Bella as Gabe calls her has had an incredibly difficult life one filled with loss, financial hardship and an evil landlord. So has worked hard for everything she has and refuses to take handouts. When he tells her he admires her and that she can look back and say she earned everything and not many people can say that. She tells him her friend Mia has a saying:“Don’t ask for it, Tovarich. Earn it. Do that, and you’ll be rewarded.”Bella talking to Gabe about needing a reason to wake up from being asleep behind the wheel of life ,drudging through life hoping it will get better:“If I’m going to wake up, take that risk, I need a reason.”You are reason enough. You deserve to wake up and own every second of your life, enjoy them now, not just later when you feel like you’ve earned it. You’ve already earned it, Bella. But I would be thrilled to enjoy it along with you.”Bella questioning why Gabe wants to be with her.“Don’t you know? It’s because I love you, Bella. I love you with everything I am, everything I have.”Their journey wasn't easy it was dangerous, mysterious, dark, intense, action packed yet it was emotionally powerful, passionate and loving.I loved Thomas's toast to Mia, Charlotte, Bella and Gabe.“To a growing circle of family."“To a day well-lived, a night well-slept, and a life well-loved. Cheers!”There were so many twist, turns and plotting going on that the drama will likely continue in Charlotte's story "Happily Never After."Five heart racing ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Great follow-up!
Blackwell is a fantastic antagonist but I'm hoping he meets his end soon. Gabe and Bella were everything I wanted them to be. I love that Bella wasn't some typical damsel. She may have had a rough go in life, a lot, but she's still strong and sassy in her own way. And what's not to love about Gabe?! 😍 Sexy, protective, hard exterior with a gooey interior; but only for Bella.Bravo! On to the next one...

Contracted for love not death
Gabe accepts a contract to kill Bella (Izzy if you read the previous book) and instead, falls in love with her. Blackwell suspects something isn’t going according to his plan and hires Jericho to kill them both.Mia and Thomas come back for a little of this book. In truth, I liked Mia more than Izzy. Izzy was a good character, just not as funny or geeky as Mia.Anyhow, the adventure and sex are both good. Like Mia’s book, there are quite a few sex scenes. So, if that’s not your thing, you might want a different series. This is a decent series. It’s entertaining, but not a “cant put it down” type of book. Give it a try. It’s worth reading. Happy reading y’all!

great read
An exiting read. It stands separate from the first book. I would recommend. I can hardly wait to read book three.

A brilliant sexy read! 💕
A sexy hitman, a target he wont kill, and contracts out on both of of them provides the plot - high romance you wouldn't believe is On the cards if they can survive that long. Unexpectedly humourous, evil, heartwarming and murderous this is a rollercoaster you won't want to get off of. A STUNNING READ and HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. 💕❤💘

Page turner
I'm fairly new to Lauren's books, this being the second of her's that I have read. I must say that I really enjoyed this one, it definitely hooked me from the first page. I loved the storyline and the connection between Gabriel and Bell, they were both lost in their own ways but found themselves in each other. I loved that the book had plenty of suspense, romance, mystery, angst and sexy scenes making this on your seat page turner into a must read for all. Looking forward to book 3.

Repetitive writing
As good as the first book was, this one did not meet expectations at all. The storyline and premise were decent enough. But the no. of pages in this book could be easily halved with how the same things were repeated over and over and over.

You never know what to expect
This is Isabella's story. We first met Isabella in the book Beauty and the Billionaire with Mia and Thomas. In this book Isabella is the heroine and Gabriel is the hero. The story is full of danger, intrigue, sadness, sweetness and change. There is also love from friends and new people. Can we call Gabe a hero, this up to the reader to decide. I loved the book.

Lots of action both steamy and menacing
A steamy read with some dark overtures. Izzy is a student struggling to make ends meet with her job as a waitress.. Thankfully she has 2 best friends who look out for her. But the boyfriend of one of her friends has attracted the ire of the city's megalomaniac who has decided to put a hit on Izzy to get back at the competition. This is the second book in this series but it is definitely not necessary to read book 1. Even though characters and events are referenced from book 1, the author provides enough details so the reader gets a clear lay of the land and yet it is not overdone to seem cumbersome to the current story. Told is 3 POV, Izzy and Gabe's story was gripping but somewhat predictable. I was particularly fascinated with Blackwell's thoughts. Lots of action, both steamy and menacing. Even though the romantic couple get their HFN, you know there is more story to come with Blackwell's diabolical revenge in the making.
