This is really nice tree pruner, I used it for my fruit tree and citrus tree, it worked great and fast clean cut, easy to lock. the jaw on this pruner is strong and the handle is comfortable. So I love gardening , great purchase!!!

I am an avid gardener and this tool is one that I use for so many tasks as I cut and prune like crazy LOL. It works very efficiently when pruning rose bushes, lilac bushes and rose of sharon bushes, Great for the price.

I purchased this to prune my tomato plant that is wildly growing out of control since I was running out of room on my apartment patio. While the pruners look like they came from the dollar store, they seem to work for my purposes. I was able to prune away the non-productive legs on the tomato plant allowing me to move around on the patio better. The cutting side of the pruners had a course grind but felt sharp and seemed like it would work well. In actual use, it worked well for larger/harder branches though on the softer stuff it would cut mostly through but left a "skin", leaving a mostly but not completely clean cut. While the title of the product mentioned stainless steel (actual product description mentions high carbon steel) I found that the pruners are magnetic. In most cases stainless steel is not magnetic. To test this further, I washed the pruners after using them and purposely left them wet to see what would happen. Just a few hours later, I could see that it was starting to rust.Bottom line: They work for my purposes and I'm happy I'm not using regular paper scissors anymore so I'm going to keep and continue using them. However, be aware they're not a stainless steel but a high carbon steel and will rust if not properly cared for (if washed, must be dried and lubricated with WD-40 or whatever you normally use). Additionally, you will not get a perfectly clean cut on softer materials but should work fine for dried harder materials like dead branches.
