Current head distiller, Richard Seale, is one of the region’s most innovative distillers and blenders and has a passion for producing perfect rum with great flavour. The Foursquare Distillery occupies the site of a former sugar factory that dates back to 1636 and, as one of the most modern and efficient rum distilleries in the world, is designed to be both highly energy efficient and environmentally friendly. Rums at Foursquare are a blend of the artisanal copper pot still and traditional twin –column still distillation. Blended Rums are uncommon but represent the quintessential expression of the Barbadian style. The pot still gives the rum greater complexity and depth of flavour and is truly an artisanal small batch process.
