The Rail Adapter Kit will work with most rail types such as Ops-Core ARC rails or M-LOK type rails. They allow the user to seamlessly integrate hearing protection headsets or communications systems like the 3M Peltor Comtac's or Howard Leight Impact earmuffs directly onto helmet rails. This eliminates the need for an uncomfortable strap underneath the helmet that eventually creates hotspots and headaches. Our goal when designing was to create a headset adapter that minimized the overall profile of the entire tactical helmet headset system. This required the use of lightweight aluminum and glass filled nylon parts to get the strength, durability, and rotation we needed from the adapters. The end result is a ballistic helmet adapter that is 80% slimmer than the next competitor. Installation & Use Tips Wires can be bent to work for various headsets and to achieve different pressure against the side of the head.

great add on to mlok trailed helmet!
got these for my hhv level 3 with mlok rails. threw a pair of walkers razors on and I'm good to go. they are good and sturdy and fold up out of the way when not in use. the springs in the arms provide really good pressure on the earpieces too. the only thing better would be if I had gel cups but that's not hhv's problem! I love these they are totally worth it

Works. PITA to install though.
Let me start by saying that these will do exactly what you need them to, but that's about it. These are an absolute nightmare to install. Zero instructions with the product or online, almost broke the RAK trying to get them to fit Howard Leights (WHICH FOR THE RECORD ARE HORRIFIC TO GET ON). Also, these do not fold back towards the rear of the helmet as well/easily as the higher dollar ARC kits. Once everything is winched down, it's pretty solid, but it's decent quality metal at best. It'll work.

Installation sucks
Wish HHV had included an instructions manual or anything to help out with mounting the headset to the adapters..Learn from my mistake: try to keep the stock mounting wires on your headset and cut them off the head band, then mount to these brackets and don't bother using the wires these came with. There's only like three videos on YouTube dealing with these: one is by HHV but isn't an instructional video, one from a guy using a different mount so thats not too useful, and one from a guy that mucks about trying to get them mounted..As far as performance goes they're alright, haven't broken yet.

did not work with Howard Leight earmuffs
I did not like this product. I modified a pair of Howard Leight earmuffs to use with this rail adapter kit. The earmuff positioning was completely wrong and I tried to bend the metal to put them in place but it did not turn out. I want to return these as my experience was a huge waste of time.

Nice and sturdy, built well.
Love them. They fit my HHV bump helmet perfectly and work great with my howard leight impact sports. Comfy and the springs are stiff so they have a good seal.

Used them with Impact Sport Ear-pro.
Bought this set to mount Howard Leigh Impact Sport electric ear-pro on my helmet. I had to bend the metal on the kit to make it work, but it turned out great. The mount is low profile. I use them the most for chopper flights around Afghanistan. They hold the ear-pro tight and makes for a lot less noise.

Arc Adapter Sucks
The tension of the wire is stronger than the arc adapter to the arc rail. If you try to position your ear protection in any other position than over your ears the tension forces the whole adapter to pop off. The only way I could fix it is by bending the wire and training it to be looser than the adapter. I would return this product if I could.

Didn’t work for me
For arc rails... not so good. Didn’t stay together. The mounting screw placement just was not solid, works well with mlok rails.Best thing is the springs.. used them for regular 3m adaptors and it works great
