Not a failure in over 12 years even though you couldn't get this motherboard nowadays. It's worked great with all the peripherals I've added; runs an Intel i5 -4430 and 8GB DDR3 memory, and it's still plenty fast, although not as fast as newer systems, but I use my desktop for all the basics. No complaints at all. Not like you will be able to get this motherboard anymore, but here's the long-term review. Review: My 8th build since 1997 - Very happy with the board. Was surprised to discover it wouldn't accept my old Soundblaster XtremeGamer card, but that was my fault, I didn't check that part of the specs. It's got a great BIOS, way easier than the non-GUI ones from a decade+ ago :) I've got an i7 4770k and two 8gb sticks of Ripjaws inside, running great. Out of the last 10, or so, systems I have put together only five of them worked flawlessly from the initial boot. This was another 4-star motherboard so, as I added components to it I thought about how frustrating this was going to be if the MB was bad. Well, the motherboard is fantastic. It booted into Windows 7-64 from the SSD that came from the system is replacing, Everything worked fine. I have an I7 3770K in it OC to 4,2 GHz. I put a Thermaltake Water 2 Pro on it with the two Thermaltake fans and it is pretty quiet, even when stressed 100% CPU. My cooling is fine, ave 23degC on idle with between 45 - 55degC for 100% CPU.
