Held in our Houdini-esque pit bull, very nice
Disappointed ours was delivered with 2 dents in the side (for the price it's a little annoying), but we needed to use them right away so to be fair we did not call about this issue and could not speak to if the company would do anything about this. Otherwise a very nice crate. Love that it folds down, is pretty compact for what it is and seems very sturdy. We have a pit bull rescue who is wonderful in everything but being left home alone. He's wrecked many expensive crates within days of trying them , so we were desperate. The normal wire crates from pet stores were a joke, but he'd kindly wait a day or two after getting one before mangling the door so completely you couldn't lock it (So thoughtful, right? ). The flight rated Vari Kennel crates were just as bad. We'd put off getting something like this just because we'd hoped we could get him to grow out his crate mangling ways (and that price! ), but this works great and now wish we'd just saveded the $ and bought this originally. He scratches at it occasionally, but once it didn't give way he's actually calmed down and doesn't 'test' it as often. With other cages he'd start with banging on the door, see it would wiggle a bit then go full stream into breaking out. This crate is so well made and sturdy he hasn't seen that 'opening' he tests for in breaking out.Overall it was an expensive create to be sure, but you get desperate when your pet can't be contained and has anxiety issues. This does the job and seems to help the anxiety even because he's a smart puppy and seems to know he can't get out, so he tries less to escape. The fold down/set up is very easy and a great option so we can travel with it if need be. Very glad we found this.

Nice product, fast shipping, but heres a few suggestions!
I have a well trained Hunting and field trial Lab, he spends alot of time traveling and relaxing in his crate so I ordered the XL. Reasons I went this route was because I have a camper shell with a drawer system so I had to disassemble my crate every time I wanted to take it out because the hatch area of the truck is 3 inches shorter than the actual floor to roof... PITA It made it to my door in 2 days, thank u Prime! First impressions were, nice its light weight, and it sets up ez, definitely better than removing 10 bolts and fighting with the plastic one. It really is a nice unit and it makes you feel like you are somehow a better dog owner for having it, and really looks like I'm a pro just being in the truck and I can fly with it, everyone in the airport will know my do is serious!!! Now the bad news... Unfortunately there were a few burs in the latch receiving area (probably from shifting around in shipping) but it sliced my hand and I had to file it down. Next there are no provisions for tieing this thing down, this is very frustrating because I think its pretty important to secure the crate for travel. The door not being reversible sucks, I like my door opening the opposite direction. and you can not flip the crate over as it is different on the top from the bottom, the bottom have breaks in the sheet metal to make it stronger as to support weight of dog. This was a double bummer for me because flipping it would have solved a secondary unrelated to the kennel problem that I am having which is the door is 3/4 inch too high to clear the hinges on my hatch (dam u ARE) so in order to open the door I have had to relocate the crte to the center of my truck instead of the side, which robs me of valuable large item storage space...

Dangerous to my dog
Our dog was destructive in her prior crate, and we were hoping to find something she might be more secure in. Unfortunately the front bars are just the right distance apart that she can get her jaws in it, and they get stuck! She actually completely broke off a canine while in the crate. The insides of the crate are really rough, and she's gotten her paws bloody from rubbing against it. We have to throw it away. The diamond shaped holes are also big enough for her to get her nose through, and she's cutting herself up on it.Plus side, it is very secure and she hasn't managed to get out of it.

This crate changed our lives!
My husband and I have a 9 month old Rottweiler, and he has developed some severe separation anxiety. He pees in his crate daily, even if only left for a few hours (he DOESN'T pee at night in our bedroom with us- makes it 8 hours plus), bends and tries to break the bars which have resulted in cuts around his nose, and has actually broken out of the crate several times. When he does break out he has destroyed a lot of stuff in our house, including eating two whole candles and eating three remotes, and he also pees and poops in the house when we are not there. We were at our wits end with our beloved puppy, we were actively trying to find a good home for him, but decided to try this cage as a last resort. That being said, this cage truly has changed our lives. He hasn't even tried to test the cage to escape, he has gone almost two full weeks without peeing in the cage, not even one time, which he hasn't done in the whole time we have owned him. He goes into the cage even when we are home to rest and take naps throughout the day; he really seems to feel secure and comfortable in the crate.I can now honestly say I don't worry about leaving him when my husband and I are at work; I know he is safe and secure in his crate, and that his anxiety about being left alone is greatly diminished. I also know that he can't get into something that could hurt him. This crate may have been pricey, but it is well worth being able to keep my dog and keep him safe!UPDATE:We have had the cage for about a year and a half now. The cage is holding up exceptionally well, and our dog has not been able to escape yet. I come home from work and he is sleeping peacefully in his new home, no signs of anxiety and no peeing in the cage. He even sleeps in the cage with the door open when we are here, he likes it that much! He never did that with our old open cage.I will definitely keep buying these cages, they just work so well and are made to hold up to big strong and powerful dogs.

Dog able to escape
Unfortunately my lab got out of this cage within 20 minutes. I am disappointed because it was so expensive and he was able to escape in no time at all. He was able to pull the end panel inward and was out.
