Very Satisfied
I bought a pair of these a few weeks ago and installed them outside. I was very pleased with them and purchased another pair a few days ago. Like the first pair, these were shipped quickly and I installed them to expand the lighting coverage around our home. You need to set these outside in the sun for two or three days to charge the batteries before installing them but otherwise there's nothing complicated about setting them up. Just be aware that there are three settings on the switch in the battery compartment. They're labeled A, B and C and details are included in the small instruction sheet that comes with the lights. I set them on C because I wanted them to come on only at night and only when someone or something is detected. I walked around the house the first night after I installed them and they worked great. They popped on as I approached them and popped off about ten seconds after I was out of range. A few nights ago, one of the lights turned on when some stray cats came near our back door. I wasn't happy that cats were hanging around the house, but was relieved that it wasn't a two legged animal.

surprisingly illuminating
Great! I agree that the switch being internal is irritating, but after all, it's supposed to be weather proof so I'll defer the complain. The directions instructed one to screw it into the wall. I of course took a detour and used permanent exterior mounting tape. One of them held well, the other after baking in direct sun for a weekend fell off. Luckily it still works, although there is something tiny that jangles about inside of it when gently shook. It's an odd blue light, compared to the usual flood light, but is still completely sufficient. I have it set for always slightly on, with motion activated flood light. I will probably purchase another set or two for another side of the building. However, I am keeping the one still stuck up there with mounting tape, and will screw in the 2nd one and see how difficult that is before attempting to purchase more. the taped one has been securely up and running for nearly a month now. Internet research suggests it's not too difficult, I have a cordless drill (instead of the recommended hammer drill), a masonry bit and some silicone caulk to insert into the hold to assist with the staying power and leakproofedness. We will see! But otherwise, if you have a smooth painted or artificial surface, you'll probably do just find with the foam adhesive tape. My textured stucco is more the issue than anything else for the cheapskate diy type.

I am buying them for a large animal and equine rescue in Southern California and the initial reports I have received is that they work wonderfully. Easy to install
I will start off by saying I as of yet do not have very much personal interaction with these lights. I am buying them for a large animal and equine rescue in Southern California and the initial reports I have received is that they work wonderfully. Easy to install, good light range, etc. I have seen a video where the person in charge walked around their grounds and the lights did look like they were working well. Really the main reason I have given a 4 star instead of a 5 star rating is the price. When I first started buying these lights back in January, they were 39.99 for the set. Last August, they went down to 36.99 which was fantastic. I just went to buy another set though today (in October--this is a long term project in replacing their outdoor lighting and I am buying what I can when I can to help out) and the price had jumped to 49.99. That's a pretty big jump and I am wondering if there was a reason for this. Unfortunately, that also cuts in to what I can afford when buying sets for the rescue. Hoping for the price to go back to where it was at the beginning of the year. I'd hate to have to stop buying these half way through the light replacement project because I can no longer afford them.

Awesome lights
I bought these so I could see my dogs in the yard at nights. They work great. I used industrial strength Velcro to attach the to a block wall and a screen porch and it worked great. My only negative is I wish they would stay on a little longer when triggered. They have 3 settings and I like the dim setting that goes bright when they walk by the sensor.

WONDERFUL!!!!
I love these. I have several and they work great and last through various weather conditions. .We use these on the farm over the barn doors to light the way and even have some nailed to a few trees facing the daytime sunlight to charge up and give lighting in the pastures to help deter predators. I also like that the settings are adjustable. We use the low light setting and they come on brighter when there is motion. I bought some that had more leds and were supposed to give more light but they were not nearly as bright or as well made as these.

Great, bright, convenient.
I'm pretty impressed by the cost. Included is 4 18650 batteries (generic) which, alone, can cost $3+ each. I needed something to put above the BBQ, but also something for a closet I rarely go into. It's not a great option for indoors since the battery holder is protected with screws, but again, the closet I go into isn't something I enter very frequently. I might modify it to utilize an external battery pack if I find myself utilizing it more than the batteries can handle.

Still just as bright as ever after a year outdoors.
Bought two of these a year ago to stick up outside in the back yard and they're still just as bright as ever as far as I can tell. Very sensitive to any movement - we see deer and raccoons all the time. I do wish the light could stay on a little longer, but otoh it is always just an animal, and if it were anyone lingering about, it would come back on over and over. Im back here now to order four more.

they don't work
I am very disappointed - I have to take out the batteries every time and put them back in- then the light works for an hour or so... then nothing- you can't really hang them up outside if you keep having to take them down to mess with the battery... the company stated they would send replacements- but that was well over a month ago and still nothing..... very disappointed...
