I have a small pasture in front of my house that has failed to grow much of anything but broom-weed. I have spent several years waiting for something to grow and spent several hundred dollars on fertilizer & seed trying to help it along... without any success.I tried the little DIY test kits but the results were very vague and not consistent. So I figured I'd give this soil sample kit a shot.This kit comes with a nice little paper collection bag, a detailed instruction card, and a pre-paid return envelope. I collected the soil samples as directed, registered the samples on their website as directed, and mailed the samples off for analysis. The process was super simple.I watched the tracking numbers and the samples arrived at the destination 3 days later. The results were available on their website in another 2 days. Total turnaround time was around 5 days.The results were very detailed and clearly showed why I was unable to grow anything. The PH was much too high and no amount of fertilizer was going to fix that (the DIY kits indicated PH was 'normal-ish'). The company even made a followup phone call with several great recommendations on the best course of action for each of my sample areas which was very helpful.I was also able to print out the soil analysis and take it to my local co-op. They are able to make a custom mixture of fertilizers and minerals specifically for my pasture's needs.If I would have just done this 6 years ago I could have saved so much time and money. I highly recommend this kit!

I just move to a new area, and am planning to start my own garden. Not just a "hobby", I will be depending on the success of my crops. The best thing you can do is know what kind of soil you are dealing with, so I got online to purchase one of those cheap "soil tests" - to give me an idea about how I need to amend my soil for best results. I stumbled upon this soil test by accident. This company has their own lab, and are "professionals", so - for Ten bucks more, I ordered their collection kit. I collected the soil as instructed - (it is an extremely simple process), and mailed it in the provided pre- paid envelope. In less than 2 weeks, I had my results online and printable, along with recommendations for amendments. WORTH EVERY PENNY - if you are a serious about your garden. I highly recommend purchasing this soil test kit.

Super easy, loved that it came with a prepackaged mail bag. Results were mediocre, sorry to say. They tell you what minerals you're high for (in central CA coast I was very high for all but three) but don't tell you if that's good or bad, and then tell you what you're low for. That's really it. They tell you what fertilizer to get - ok - but they don't tell you if say being low in nitrogen is bad or what numbers to shoot for. It would be an amazing experience if they just told you more information and what to shoot for. They also ask you what type of grass you have and tbh, it's hard to say from a laypersons perspective.

If you read the questions, at least 3 of us had results that were lost or delayed in May 2019. Customer service was really helpful. The first question they asked when I called, "Is this an amazon order?", which made me think there might be a glitch with their amazon processing. Two days later they found my results by name rather than by bag code. If you don't get your results back within a week, I'd call them and start a search. Regarding results, mine were alarming to the point that a soil guru questioned their accuracy. Obviously I have no way to confirm them, other than paying for a different lab to re-do them. I used a wooden spoon to gather the soil so as not to taint the metals count and followed directions exactly. Sorry but I don't feel confident recommending this kit.

I was having some problems with centipede and St Augustine so I decided I would try testing the soil to see if there was something wrong. I bought this Soil Kit because I thought it looked very easy to do, and it was got my results back in about five days and it gave me a prescription for my lawn it was awesome. Will buy again.

Somehow I missed that you have to set up an account online to use this product, but it wasn’t too painful to complete. Once finished and the dirt sample mailed, it took around a week to receive my result by email. Easy to read, and I was told what I needed to treat my lawn with to fix the issue I had. Definitely recommend this for anyone who works on their lawn by themselves and need a little help getting the right soil for their lawn.

I had spent months tending to my yard, and tried all sorts of different stuff. This kit helped me figure out exactly what it was my soul was missigg by, and I’m so glad I found it, because it was something I needed to order online, and wasn’t going to find in a big box store. Since then, my lawn has been gorgeous! I’ve actually had several neighbors come over and ask what I’m doing to my lawn to make it look so good. I highly recommend it! I felt like a kid on Christmas Day, when my results were ready, and I was opening them!

Awesome product, awesome customer service. Results are quick, clear and easy to read. They even offer a package for purchase of exactly the fertilizer you'd need to "fix" your yard. Package they send is much larger than soil savvy package. More soil=more accurate results in my opinion. Couldn't be happier, got results quicker from them than I did my local extension agent.
