this thing really does repel water and baby pee/diarrhea. It was simple to wash in hot water, did not have brown spots where the muck was. very soft, and like the insert said, it "breathes" I didn't wake up from being too hot. My only complaint is that while putting it on, there is too much "side" to it. I have a wide mattress, but this thing would go over the boxspring too. The sides are not protected from stains, just the top. I can't say it was hard to put on, in fact, because there was so much material, it was pretty easy. The top part also cover the whole bed, not just the middle portion. My last one of these left 12 inches of "side" material at the top and bottom and only covered the middle. Love it. Would buy it again, no problem. These things only last through 5 or 6 washings before you have to replace them. If you think you will have nightly issues, use a vinyl cover, not a breathable one.

We have a naughty girl kitty. When she gets mad at one of us, or if she's just in the mood, she'll pee on our bed. When we finally purchased our pristine wonderful new mattress, we were straightening it out on the frame when she did her first pee on it. So much for the mattress warranty....Anyways, our old protector we hated. It'd always make crinkling noises to remind you it was there. It also didn't breath very well and we'd get really hot at night. We got this mattress protector and absolutely love it. It makes absolutely no noise at all, and breathes just fine. You can easily forget that it's even there. When naughty girl does pee on it, while super annoying for us, it never ever penetrates the protector so our mattress stays nice. It's been washed multiple times since purchase and it still looks like new. We do wash it with a pet urine neutralizer which keeps it odor free.If you have a naughty kitty that likes to pee in your bed, this will save your mattress.

UPDATE: The mattress protector has failed us, child had an accident in our bed and I have a giant urine mess to try & clean out of our memory foam bed. Super bummed, aside from the product just not holding up over time it is POSSIBLE that we damaged the protector by drying it in the dryer. I always air dry it but husband threw in dryer last time not knowing. It came out looking fine, not melted or damaged but this next accident went straight through. Do not recommend using the dryer unless you can choose air/no heat option.We bought a new memory foam mattress recently to replace our old stained traditional spring one.Put this cover on immediately & so far in the 6 months we’ve had the bed we’ve had one child pee in it, a cat vomit episode & a water bottle spill. The mattress still looks brand new, none of the above incidents penetrated this cover. It washed/dried well. Makes no crinkly sound & I forget its on under the sheets. Very happy, will always keep these on our beds!

I havent tested the waterproofness. it seems ok to touch and doesnt make noise when you roll around and stays in place. it does make a slight noise when straigthening or getting on.off the edge of the bed but doesnt affect when you are laying on it. my side does seem to wrinkle up and get a little lumpy feeling if i dont straigten before getting into bed. overall it stays in place but i am picky about feeling wrinkles. its more noticeable feeling material than the previous terry cloth type that had come on a previous topper we owned. will probably be adding a padded topper to make bed more comfortable so the comfort issues likely wont be a problem. i do feel my tempurpedic foam a little less with it on. I think it will work but its not as quiet or wrinkle free as I had hoped. no strange smells or off gassing.

I've been looking for waterproof mattress cover long time. And very difficult choice which one is good quality. After I bought many brand mattress protector, most of them are like towel that furry fabric, it’s very uncomfortable for child, bad quality. BUT, this one is so nice, The fabric is comfortable and soft enough, waterproof is also done very well. I took two pictures and compared them. this one It feels good . nice sleeping on there I will told my friend come to buy it

Best mattress protector I have found thus far. We have a almost 3 yr old boy that is a very heavy drinker and soaks through his diaper sometimes at night. This protector so far has kept his pee from reaching our temperpedic mattress when others have not. We actually have 2 of these protectors now so I'll always have one to protect our bed.

Bought this because the thicker one I had isn't that great for summer. This was light and thin. This was a good size since I could cover the king size bed.

This mattress protector is A really good value. I haven’t seen anything like this for less than $65. It has a quilted surface, water resistant & provides protection. Overall quality has surprised me. We just bought a new gel mattress & it is a good fit. I am pleased with the purchase.
