Barkbox Memory Foam Platform Dog Bed | Plush Mattress for Orthopedic Joint Relief (Small, Sand)

I use this bed for my pup’s crate. His crate is 36x23 and the large fits perfectly! I have an Old English Sheepdog mix. This bed is supportive and also holds a comfortable temperature, which is great for warm dogs. He’s a happy pup, so I’m a happy customer. I docked one star only because the entire bed didn’t expand as it should have. It comes vacuum sealed and rolled into a smaller box. One side the foam inflated perfectly. On the other side you can feel patches where it inflated slightly but not fully and you can feel the centre seam slightly. This was well after 72 hours. It still works all the same, and I would have no issues buying again.

I was having a hard time picking a dog bed for my office. I wanted something big enough where my old dog was comfortable but small enough to not overtake my office since I’m limited on space. This ended up being perfect. Hard to say how much space she’ll have to stretch out but this is only intended to be a bonus bed, not her actual bed in the main house. If this is your dog’s main bed and they’re around 60+lbs I’d move up a size personally. I like that the cover is removable for washing. Let’s see how it holds up, I may update my review once it gets some regular use.

This comes wrapped very tightly with the air sucked out of it and when it’s unwrapped it supposed to re inflate to 3 inches which after 2 days mine hasn’t. My bed also has a large crease down the middle caused by how it was packed that also has never disappeared. This is also shipped with a small dog toy which is appropriate for a small dog this is a large dog bed for a large dog and the toy is a choking hazard for a large dog and should be thrown out.EDIT 2/14/23 customer service reached out which was very surprising and made things right I’d definitely try this company again and probably will as pup is only 7 months old. The cushion fits perfectly in our 40" kennel. It's easy to remove the covering, wash it on a weekly basis and recover the memory foam. It does take about 48 hrs for it to fully expand once you take it out of the packaging. However, that is explained by the manufacturer so shouldn't be a surprise to a new owner. I would highly recommend this item!!

Ships in a tiny box, so I was thrown off! But it puffs up just like a typical memory foam mattress. The material is great for places that are warmer weather too! Our pup gets the comfort of a dog bed but not the heat.

I bought a large, i allowed it to raise up overnight and the next morning it was ready! My 60lb pitbull terrier mix loves her bed! However it is small the pictures show a larger dog on a large bed, my dog cannot spread out on it. But she does love it and won't get off it since I put it down. She's older and arthritic and immediately laid down and smiled. I'm so happy I got this need it's the real deal! Great foam! So I ordered an XL too and it’s a decent large size. My mastiff bulldog loves it.

This is the first memory foam bed I have found that is 3" tall instead of 4". It is amazing in the wire crate my dog uses every night. It also has a cooling topper over the foam so it keeps him cooler that any of the other beds we have tried. The washable cover is very well made and they have several great choices to pick from. They have large zippers and the pad can be easily removed from the cover. The foam pad itself is covered in a protective fabric to prevent moisture from getting to the memory foam. The zippered cover is also treated to prevent staining. The foam itself is a premium grade, and well made. I will order from this company again.

Previously had a cheap, thin bed for my dog. She deserved an upgrade. Lays on this almost all day long and loves it. I would even sleep on it if it were bigger. Lol. Very thick and durable

Although this bed is very comfortable and it has helped his arthritis the cover is poor quality and the zip has broken off already so I now cannot remove the cover. I’ve not even had this product a month! It is not water resistant and I’ve had to wash the memory foam mattress as well as the cover and it does not wash well.

This bed has a nice foam support. The cover is plush and my pup loves the bed. The only problem, which is the reason I give this only 2 stars, is that it is not for dogs that like to chew. After opening up the newly arrived bed for it to air and expand, my cavapoo without anyone's notice, crept into the room and chewed the corner off the cover. It took him only seconds as we discovered very quickly what he had done! As the foam is still good, I intend to sew another cover for the bed.

Have been using this for only a few days but so far very pleased. Left it unused for 72 hrs as per their instructions, it expanded just as they said it would to 3", the crease where it was folded is no longer noticeable. I removed the outer cover while it was expanding. Ordered the medium 29 x 18, which fits my same size crate perfectly. Doggie seems happy with it too. And, lol just as everyone else has mentioned, he loves the green pea ball, the gift that came with it. He's had the ball for 5 days now and is still happily playing with it, even though he has lots of other toys!An update: have been using this mattress now for 2yrs, doggie sleeps on it in his crate every night. I have washed the cover 3 or 4 times only, I have a blanket on top of it. However it has washed and dried superbly, comes out just like new. The last time doggy had been sick in the night, nothing went through the cover to the mattress, so pleased about that. Zipper is fine. My dog is 12 pounds, mattress itself looks exactly the same as the day it arrived. Have just ordered same mattress, smaller size to use on the living room floor. Thankyou Barkbox!

This mattress was initially really nice - it feels soft and cushy and our dog was happy to sleep on it.Unfortunately the zipper does not have anything to prevent it sliding right off the end and so after not too long the zipper popped off. We are now unable to get the cover off to be washed.The return window for this item was quite short so we don’t have an option to get a replacement. Getting a new zipper installed will likely be expensive.

If this is considered extra large I am very disappointed. I have 2 greyhound and there is no way my dogs can fit on this bed. Yes I can return ti. but I am in Australia and this, unbeknownst to me when I purchased it, came from the US. This would maybe fit a small - medium sized dog but it is thin too. So disappointed. I have a large one that is thick that I purchased in Australia but I lost my emails so do not know where. Do not purchase this item if you want a good dog bed.
