If this instrument actually does what it says on the box, at the price, it will be a bargain. However, it doesn't mention being able to detect the relatively new propane based refridgerant gas R290. Before trusting it on the job, I did a static test of the sniffer unit and, reassuringly. it reacted quite quickly to a high R290 gas concentration, when set on the maximum detection setting.Time will tell how good it really is in the heat of battle...!

I would only recommend you getting this if you are working on your own car and know what you are doing, or working on a few. Tanking your car to the garage is much cheaper, safer and more reliable.However this can also work on other household things like air conditioning which can be useful

Couldn't find a air con leak on a customers car using nitrogen, dye or vacuum testing, (system took 3 weeks to empty) so ordered this and worked a treat. Pinpointed the area I needed to consecrate on and found the leak behind a matal clamp covered in foam.

Well made and durable the device is powered by 4 x AAA batteries (not included) which can be a little tricky to insert. Gave this to a friend for testing who has expertise to use this. Feedback received was positive in that it detected gas leaks correctly in the suspected situations tested. Comes with a handy storage pouch. Overall a solid piece of gas testing equipment which despite the basic price will do a good job.

This is a generic Chinese thing and it does what I need it to do for air con issues in cars. For the price you cannot complain.

Pour le prix rien à dire,vraiment,pour mettre dans le contexte je l'ai utilisé sur une golf 6,une alfa 147,un ce et une 406 coupé,après avoir commencer par rechercher à l'ultraviolet pour réduire la zone à inspecter,l'appareil est top dans le sens où pour une fuite sur un raccord(j'ai eu valves HP et joints d'évaporateur) il sonne pas dans tout les sens comme je craignais ,mais vraiment si la fuite est à l'arrière du raccord ,vous pouvez mettre le nez du détecteur à l'avant du même raccord,il ne sonnera pas ,puis en s'approchant doucement de la brèche il s'excite et donne LE point de fuite ,idem sur le radiateur de clim de la 406 ,à L'UV c'était une vraie boite de nuit dans chaque recoin, mais avec le détecteur j'ai pu me rendre compte que ça venait juste des 2 joints du raccords, le reste c'était des projections à cause du ventilo j'imagine...mais chez peugeot, nortooto ou autre ,recherche à l'UV, 50balles, monsieur le radiateur est hs il y'a du traceur partout il doit être poreux ,il faut le changer =>au bas mot 4/500e pièces et main d'oeuvres,alors que les 2 joints coutes 3e60 chez Peugeot et 2 mois plus tard elle sort toujours autant de froid .Voilà,j'espère que ça pourra vous servir, au moins c'est pas un commentaire truqué 🤣
