Setup presented a few challenges, but overall w3nt well. App has some connection issues and doesn't always connect to the lock even when standing right in front of the lock itself.

If your door faces west or south and receives direct sunlight the pad will not work. I own 2 of these at 2 homes. One facing west and one facing south towards sun. It is not a glare or illumination issue, it appears to be a heat issue and the numbers will not show. Occasionally a few lines but nothing legible. So you are unable to use keypad to open door. When it works in the morning it’s great, but i rarely need to unlock the door in the morning. In the evenings it still does not work, even after sun goes down. It does not start working again until morning. I also wish it could connect directly to router. It requires a seperate routing device to communicate with my isp router?

My wife and I initially bought our lock 2-3 years ago (albeit a slightly older model). It worked great! My wife loved being able to unlock the door from the car from her app so our 2 young kids could go barging in ahead of us and I really liked being able to have a fingerprint to lock the door on my way out. The electronic part never faltered, but the inside deadbolt started to catch a little in the door (probably from 2 young kids being rough so much) and we needed to get it replaced.When I called customer service to see what my options were, I was pleasantly surprised by how quickly I could talk a real person (not those endless voice activated, robotic messages with forever hold times). I quickly talked to someone who was beyond courteous and worked to do everything she could to help me out to ensure we were satisfied. We are super excited to have our door lock working again like a charm. It's one of our favorite conveniences, one that we can't live without!

The digital part of the lock never worked but the physical key works. Step up instructions were of no help. I had a handyman look at it and he couldn't get it to work either. It was an expensive mistake.

Anyone who gave this less than 5 stars simply can’t read. One guy even called himself “tech savvy” lol. Someone else said “the numbers scramble” (lol it has an option for it) people really aren’t too bright on here.This thing is heavy duty, easy to install, app was simple to use, finger prints and codes are easy to setup. It’s great, buy it. And no I wasn’t incentivized or whatever, just can’t take people giving low stars because they are incompetent.

Lockly knows they have an issue and are not warning customers! This is sold as an outdoor lock; however, if exposed to sunlight, or high temperatures (85F+), the screen will not display. It will start as faded numbers, and then black out completely.On the surface, initial impressions made me think I purchased a refined quality product. Don't make the same mistake I did. Save your money until Lockly fixes their known issues.Lockly's support team is really great about bouncing you between representatives who will say "have you tried resetting the screen?"... Don't count on their claim of "life time support" after the warranty is over.
