Did what it's supposed to well
Took it up Diamondhead on Oahu, worked like a charm. Made walking a lot easier. Good strong material and easy to use.

Less than I had hoped
I was so excited to have another way to carry my 2 year old, especially at Disney in the crowds. It's not the best support for the adults lower back and my daughter is only 25 lbs. she is okay for a bit but not into it for long periods (maybe 10 mins). The harness makes me a little nervous too because if her foot slipped I feel she could fall out the bottom. Arm harnesses are as small and tight as they go. Wish there was a little attachment or harness strap to go under their bum between their legs like life jackets have. I would feel safer. We will try again as she gets older but may try to modify it so it doesn't hurt our backs.

Piggy back Rider
I have twins, 3 year olds. I'm a mommy who buys, researches everything just to make it easier and comfortable for twins even if it last a year it's worth it to me. From carriers which are too hot for me and the twins it wasn't working. Then purchased hip seats for both my husband and I. It's great but your still leaning on a hip and their getting bigger so becoming uncomfortable, and you still gotta hold their back not hands free. Then I came across this I was like genius!!!! I wanna start hiking again and if I got one on my back I can put a harness on other and have them safe by me. As I received it I was like a little girl opening gifts on Christmas morning. A mom that really should open a YouTube to review kids stuff would help many parents save money or make decisions easy to get or not get. Anyways the kids laughed and giggled when I got it in. It's so simple to strap up, got a little use to having them step on and balance on bar as they are only 3.Very good, great product I love they love! I really want to get another with the water for my husband!!!! Test that out.The only thing is I wish their was better more secure clips to hold child in and shoulder pads for parents and child more padded only thing I would definitely change and make a huge difference. But it's worth purchasing for uses like Disney, parades, heavily crowded functions, shorter hikes.

It is a nice well made product
It is a nice well made product. After using it for more than 15 minutes it does hurt my shoulders, but my kid loves that vantage point she gets when using it. And she feels special because she does not see anyone else using one (I have not run across another person using it). It does hurt my childs feet though. The bar is too narrow, she can use her tippy toes, which hurts her calves after awhile. If she uses her arches then that hurts her feet as well. She tries to use her heels but then her feet keep hitting my back. She is five so her feet aren't large. If they made the platform wider to accommodate more of her foot, this thing would be a 4 star. Not quite 5 because my shoulders would still hurt. Not sure what they could do to fix that.

Don't convince yourself that your man enough!!!!
I bought this carrier for my son for a week long trip to Disney World. I was sure even thought the other reviews seemed to indicate the carrier being badly balanced or equating it to a good workout that it would be fine for me because my son is small and I'm a large man. Adjusted the straps and carried my son around my living room for five minutes. Tried to imagine the pain I already felt in my shoulders and neck magnified by the hours and hills in Disney World. Very cute and sturdy but carries all the weight on the shoulders which is contrary to modern backpack design. Very uncomfortable and could even cause back strain if worn for any length of time. I returned it, and will stroller my son for Disney World.

Great Design, Glad I bought it.
I've only just began my journey with the Piggyback Rider. This allows me to go for long walks without worrying about my toddler getting tired. This is perfect to carry my 3 year old who is 32 lbs. He loves riding on it. But to test this unit out we went for a 4 mile walk around a park that is exactly 4 miles around. I must say that it's not the greatest for the 4 mile walk because after about 3 miles things start hurting. (Even the straps [assuming you're walking in a t-shirt and your child is 30+ lbs. like in my situation] anyway as comfy as the straps seem and even though the material is high quality and breathable, it starts ripping into your skin on your shoulders.) and that cute little monkey on your back now feels like a gorilla! So now I've limited it to about 2.5 miles walking near my house. I can see this will be great to trips to our local amusement parks (Knott's, Disneyland, Magic Mountain) and great for walks on the beach. I've used it twice and already have gotten a lot of stares and compliments as well from strangers. Now for the hidden (conditioning) I'm so amazed at my energy level. I play intense 5 on 5 basketball with guys in their 20's and I can't believe how light on my feet I was laterally and even jumping after using The Piggyback Rider. (I'm no Kobe but I scored 13 pts the last game). So this conditions you in many other ways indirectly.

The child thought is was great fun and if one of the tabs for her to hold onto hadn't torn out almost right way I would have liked it too. Used it for a 10K hill hike which she walked part of the time and rode part time. Quality control needs to be improved I think.

great product - no way to select color :-(
i did extensive research on this product before purchasing, it is awesome & well built. regular shipping was stupid fast (received it in 2 days from out of state). My only complaint was that the item showed several pics in various colors, yet there was no way to select the specific color i wanted with the seller. i ended up getting the black/grey model, but really wanted the grey/orange one. awesome seller. crazy fast. great 5-star product.

It is really good
I took a chance and purchased one of these. I do not like using the buggy all the time esp getting on and off trains etc. and my 3 year old doesn't like sitting in a buggy much either but does get tired walking. I already have a rucksac carrier for her and she really likes that & it is comfy with a seat but getting her in/out and the rucksac back onto my back is time consuming and difficult. Piggybacks are difficult for me trying to keep a grip and I end up having to put her down as it is uncomfortable.First of all I am thinking that you have to be fairly fit; pre-child I used to carry an 80-litre rucksac to do my weekly shopping and carry it home. It weighed a lot. If you are not fit then I suggest start with short journeys to the local park etc. to build up your muscles.I tried this out at home, amended the straps and it seemed light (in comparison to the rucsac) and my daughter enjoyed trying it out. We then tried it out on a trip into London by train to china town for the chinese new year (very busy, good 4 hours or so on carrier to get her up from the crowds). It worked! She could get off and on easily when needed and loved being up high and seeing what was going on.Downside is: bar was digging into my back a fair bit and because of this back hurt the next day (plus legs not used to carrying for such a long time). Maybe I need to try out a few more modifications with the bar, I had it rested on my lower back. Also I had to keep asking my daughter to "stand up properly". At times she was slumping down over one shoulder or the other to rest and this resulted in the bar going up at an angle and one shoulder taking lot of the weight and hurting. Once again it might be that we need to play around with this a bit more. But in any case, definitely a good purchase. There are no alternatives.-----------------------A few years on. Daughter is now 5 years old and it is actually easier now as she stands straight and doesn't move/slump too much. I have modified. Bought some extra padding (rucsac padding straps) for extra padding on the straps. These fit under then Velcro at the top. I also have bought a roll of kayak one sided sticky padding (they stick it on kayak floor for their knees). The kayak padding is on the part of the bar touching my back, across the neck part touching the top of the "rucsac pads", from the bottom of rucksac pads downwards and on strap across chest. Far more comfy and london Chinese new year again tomorrow! It is brilliant, but they need a second design with more padding.

It is quite a straight-forward design and good idea. Both my daughter and I like it ...
It arrived quickly and the instructions were quite clear to follow and understand. It is quite a straight-forward design and good idea. Both my daughter and I like it - we are so closely connected it's like when she was in my carrier as a baby and she loves looking out at everyone and the scenery as we walk. We do get funny looks though - though mostly smiles! There are a couple of drawbacks however: the bar is a bit uncomfortable and cut into my lower back. I have now wrapped a flannel around it and it has resolved that issue. The makers should pad it really. Although it is great that you have your hands and arms free, there is a slight problem in that it is difficult to carry a handbag or put your rucksack on your front as the straps don't hold. You have to carry a bag in your hand. Finally, and the major problem for us, is that it is a great system for when your child is lively, and energetic. However, when my child is tired she gets very upset in it as she can't hold herself so I end up carrying her! It needs some extra support so that a child can rest on you when they are tired- or even fall asleep if need be (my child is only just 3 and wants to nap in the day sometimes, especially in the afternoon. It's good though and there is nothing else really so compare it with. I'll definitely carry on using it.

Not for a kid who isn't capable of obaying your commands completely
I bought this for my husbsnd and 20month old boy as per my husbands request. 1. As expected, you need second person to prep/ride a kid onto the bar safely if the kid isn't capable of following your command completely. 2. The safety harness for the kid does not prevent the kid from falling. My kid's arms come loose as soon as he extends his arms upward and outward. With his flexible shoulders and free falling weight without anything to support his bum, it is super easy even though you tighten up the belt. 3. But it is probably an excellent thing if you want to bring a kid (maybe 3-4years old or more who is capable of standing for long time in one spot without sitting) for walk ... But I imagine it won't replace stroller or carrier or YOU when the kid get tired.

Ottimo... quasi perfetto

Great Product !
A little confused in the initial setting (too many handles / straps) one strap came twisted from factory, I had to undo a seam and fix it !But the product is great... my daughter loved it, she's always asking me to ride on it !!Would be optimal if it had a kind of strap waist belt for the foot bar ...(in the future I will try to modify or improve the design to fit me best)Great Product !!!Best Regards from PortugalAntonio Fernandes
