Well rounded speakers
Got the Cube Mini Neo Wavemasters at a great price of around 70 pounds and the review is based on the paid price.Below are some key points.Strong points:-All the connections one could ask for including optical.-Bluetooth works flawlessly.-Remote control is intuitive with the option to control bass and treble which I found great and a reset button for flattening the sound.-The cable to connect the two speakers can easily be replaced with any length (on the cheap) although the suplied is sufficient for a PC setup or for enough separation to enjoy stereo sound.-They look good! Nicely constructed and of good weight.-Sound is decent. The speakers produce a sound that I can describe as "sweet". Not overly bright nor too basey. They make for very easy listening, without tiring the listener. In this sense they are amazingly suitable for background music.-There is no background hum whatsoever!-A great option is to have the speakers on smart standby that will turn them on the moment the last source gives out signal (with a couple of seconds delay) and put them back on standby when no signal goes through for around 10 minutes. That make them ideal for connecting to an echo dot. There is also the option of full standby. Again the way this is done is intuitive once looking through the manual.Weak points:-The sound, although really satisfying to my ears, might not completely satisfy people who expect tremendous sound or overly bright presentation. However at the current selling price of 89.99 pounds they offer very good overall value and even more so at 70 with the Amazon's discount I got them for. I could not find speakers with all the connections and a remote control, that the Mini Neo speakers come with in anything less than 100 pounds. One option was Creative's T100 at 110 pounds. If you are looking for the best sounding speakers, without these extras, there are a couple of others to consider at around 90 pounds. Possibly look at Edifiers which may sound slightly better.-If you are looking for monitors, I would suggest to increase your budget by a factor of 2 as your needs will differ.-There is no option to completely disable the speakers from going to standby. Meaning that if they are connected to a computer, they may have to be woken up when a notification sounds goes through, possibly missing out on part of the notification sound. All in all I am very happy with the purchase. The quality seems to be there for the speakers to last for a long time and the sound, as long as you are not trying to disect every audible note that is played and you'd rather just enjoy your time, is sweet.

Fantastic desktop speakers
So I got bored of my surround sound gaming speakers which eventually ended up being 2.1 as I got sick and tired of all the cables from the original 5.1 setup.Took a few days to get used to a stereo speaker setup and took some tweaking and I am loving the sound. I chose to use TOSLINK and get a hissless speaker setup that goes into standby when not in use and comes back under well under a second when it senses a signal.Note, I did end up getting a set of speaker stands to raise the tweeters to ear level and also moved the speakers to around 15cm from the wall. Anything less makes them sound boomy as it has a rear facing port. So, what to say? Excellent. The remote is great, BlueTooth works fine, the multifunction control dial works fantastically, it came generously packed with everything you need to get started bar an optical lead and they also look really cool. The best takeaway is that if you are looking for something compact and feature packed there really isn't anything like this.

Fantastic speakers!
I'm so pleased with this purchase. I had originally ordered a cheaper pair of a different brand, but was never quite happy with them so I doubled my budget and I'm so glad I did! These have all the connectivity you could wish for, the remote control has been a convenience I didn't think I needed but now couldn't do without, and the sound is really rich and full.

Value for money, but not the greatest sound ever
The speakers are great looking, nice to handle and relatively easy to connect. The only downfalls are 1. The sound delay (typical with Bluetooth, I believe) so they are useless for TV (unless hard-wired) or as add-on/surround sound speakers for your Mac or PC, and 2. There isn't a lot of depth in the sound. Bass is a little flat and treble is lacking, so if you like your music textural and rich, then you may be disappointed.
