Bad build quality. Might've been a bad batch though.
I bought 4 of these. One of them started smoking as soon as I turned on power (there was a solder spot between two wires) and I couldn't get the other 3 to register the cards they were plugged into. I bought 4 similar cards from a different supplier and they all worked fine.

Foot is too wide to fit card in case
I bought this because my 2 AMD 7970 PCI-E cards were generating too much heat being so close together on my motherboard. So I wanted to drop the 2nd card down to a few unused case slots below the motherboard to allow for better airflow between the cards. The problem with this extension cable is that the female part sticks out too much from the bottom of the video card so that it cannot mount in the case. The adapter is hitting the back wall of my case causing the card to stick out about a centimeter or two. This cannot be fixed. I would need to cut a wide hole in the back wall of my case to make it fit. Since ATX computer cases conform to the same standards, more or less, this is likely going to be a problem for everyone else. Fortunately my case had an extra vertical mount that allowed me to install the 2nd video card there. So, while this cable does work, and there was no issues with the signal or quality of the cable, it is poorly designed to work in the majority of computer cases and I think most people will have the same problem as me. The connector needs to be right-angled on the adapter instead of straight. It gets two stars because it physically works, but loses three because it's very poorly designed. TIP: You can buy a right-angled PCI-E adapter on Amazon and use this cable together to achieve what I was going for.

I suppose it does the trick...
One might expect a bit higher quality for the price, but I suppose it'll do the trick. The main gripe is the PCI connectors themselves - both of them. There's nothing molded around the connection in order to ensure a tight fit - they just push on and you hope it's okay. Granted, once they're installed there's really nothing that should be tugging on cables but the peace of mind would be nice.As another review mentioned, the molex connectors are rather shoddy and appear fragile as I had some difficulty getting them connected. I'm using four of these risers in a custom built open-air case for crypto-mining so I can't attest to how well they work in normal ATX cases (or any others). They are quite long (25cm) so if you're tight on space you may want to look elsewhere. As for my situation, everything installed okay and should work fine, I just don't agree with the price point of $29.95. I actually paid $19.95 and still feel that my price was high. Will follow-up if there are issues with functionality.

Not loose and works well.
Not to bad. If you place it well, you shouldn't worry about it being detached or moved. So far no complaints.

Highly Recommended
Phenomenal - expensive, but works exactly like it should - 3 R9 280x GPUs, all pleasantly driving at 700Kh/s all at 75c.Worth every penny of time you get back by not troubleshooting - bought 4 so far, many more to come.Static packaging is professional, cables so far all working without issue.

Bad connector and fried my mobo.
4 out of 5 were mostly ok, the pins in everyone of them were extremely loose, not a big shock, pretty par for the course. One of them however was complete crap, bad solder joint, and poof, there went my mobo and chipset. Pretty pissed about that one.

Works, but the molex connector is a bit shody
I bought this as a precautionary measure for the third GPU in my mining rig. The rig has now been running nonstop for 3 weeks, all cards drawing 200+W each. No board frying here. The molex connector (the white, roughly rectangular piece that connects to the power supply) is a bit shoddy. It can easily become detached from the yellow wire when connecting/disconnecting from the power supply. I wouldn't normally bring such a minor thing up, but in this case since the item is a safety measure and it's not easy to verify that it is working correctly, I think it is important to note.

They simply don't work
I bought 3 of these. The first didn't work at all (no signal to the card/monitor)The second worked for 4 minutes, then the screen went black and never came back on.I didn't bother trying the 3rd.vcards are still working, just not with these risers.
