The designation as a "couples" hammock follows the traditional description in the country of origin, and is not intended to suggest that any two people, regardless of size, will find it appropriate for shared use. The barless design improves comfort and safety over hammocks with bars. These large couple-size hammocks are the ultimate in useful furnishing - economical, attractive, colorful, and extremely comfortable. Nicamaka hammocks are ideal both inside and outside the home. With a 14' hanging length it will fit most anywhere, even a 100 sf room. Hanging Length between vertical supports is 14' (4.3M); Bed Length is 8.5' (2.5M); Weight - 8.5lbs (4.1K).     Horrible smell

I received it four days ago and I thought the smell would go away. At first I thought it was like bug repellent, then I realized it's something like fertilizer. It smells like the garden section at a home improvement store.I can't get the company to respond.There is also a mis-threading (not the right word) that is large and in the middle of the bed area. It's more than noticeable.Comfort is subjective, but I'm going back to sleeping on a XXL MAYAN hammock.
