Read this book ... it exposes the dark side of the cancer industry.
If you have cancer and are under treatment, the information in this book is scary. I can easily see why people are not trusting the government and big pharma. It is all about profit ... BIG profit. If an inexpensive cure for cancer is found, all of the major pharmaceutical companies would lobby the government to stop it from being approved. The cancer “industry” is not about finding a cure, or prevention. That would severely harm their sustainable business model.

Excellent book!
This man has done so much to pull the covers off the fraud that the non-profit industrial complex has perpetrated on us all. Epstein is also documented in the film "The Corporation" from 2002 discussing the evils of corporations on our health care system and ultimately our lives. Excellent book!

I was very disappointed in how this book was constructed
I found this book to be tone of the most poorly written books that I have ever had the displeasure to read. After you have read the first couple of chapters you have garnered all the information that you will want to obtain from this book. The following chapters are nothing more than just a rewrite of the first few chapters.I was very disappointed in how this book was constructed.I have no issues with the message that the book is trying to convey.DT

Knowledge is the oxygen of democracy
Professor Samuel Epstein has written a gripping, informative, thought provoking and confronting book that provides a graphic insight into the machinations, incestuous and pecuniary relationships, of hypocrisy at its extreme indifference, and nonsensical 'spin' of the National Cancer Institute and the American Cancer Society and the Federal Drugs Administration.

Great update-- looks readable and well-organized. Not to say there aren't worthy predecessor books by Ralph Moss, etc., etc.
