Exhaust tip trim stainless steel polished chrome ornament Tajco 50mm set of 2

I needed something to smarten up an exhaust on a Mercedes Benz. The exhaust itself was in reasonable condition but the elements had taken a toll on the tailpipes, both were rotten and tatty.One of the biggest problems, not the sellers fault, is the customers ability to measure the pipes. I used a caliper but measuring around the pipe and using basic maths will suffice (Pi). Guestimation won't.The items themselves are a good thickness of sheet metal and the finish looks like it should last well. The packaging/box is quality which usually indicates the contents should be - not always but still a good sign. There are ribs inside the tubes to ensure a solid, snug fit. Securing is done by means of tightening a set screw and the thickened tapped area for this looks robust. I chose to just use the hole and put in my own stainless self tappers into the pipe itself. This is because of the harsh weather, salted roads. The tips would both stay on and be easily removed.I didn't measure the exact length but the longer side is closer to 5 inches and the shorter slanted side around 4 inches.In conclusion well fitting and nice looking tips that smartened up a tatty exhaust considerably. Perhaps not for the 'tarting up brigade' but more for a subtle classier job.Having fitted such items before, £11 is excellent for this pair of tips.

A good product BUT incorrect info. It is stated the product is for exhaust pipes of 50mm . The exhaust on my car is 50mm, so purchased a pair. Tried to fit it but my pipe went in only for about 3cm and then stopped by the 3 ridges inside. So it is good only for pipes with a diameter of about 45mm. Returned mine but seller should amend the description.

Had to use self tappers which secured them properly depending on mm of pipes
