Well made, does inferior job.
Shells crack cleanly. I don't get my fingers in the gooey raw egg white. The membrane doesn't resist the sharp blades. The shell halves stay amazingly intact and no tiny pieces get separated. The shells stay in the opener and don't drip as they are carried across the kitchen to the trash can. Simply rinsing it for cleaning appears to be enough, but I'll run it through a dishwasher cycle occasionally.I've used it for several days and lowered the rating from 4 to 2 stars. The problem is the sharp blades pierce the yolk. That's not what I want at all. Only 66% of my eggs end up opened and intact. Tilting the egg opener and cracking it so the yolk is away from the blades doesn't help. I wasted my money yet again on more Chinese garbage that doesn't work from Amazon, the mighty retailer that specializes in disappointment and deception.Update after one month: Cracked 40 eggs. 5 had broken yolks. An 87.5% success rate is OK. 4 of the broken yolks happened in the first week, so I raised the rating from two to three stars.

Chipped piercing blades.
Both piercing blades have chipped off after a few uses... Was a waste of money I only used this to break a few eggs open and after looking at it today I noticed both the blade tips had broken off. That metal probably ended up in my food! Dangerous

Great product, and very convenient.

Not very useful
It smashes the egg rather than cleanly crack it. It mixes white and yolk with fragments of shell. Really bad. I used it today for about 12 eggs in row for Sunday morning omelet and the result was pretty bad. Not recommend it -barely 1 star - Plus hard to clean too!
