2018-2019 Tailgate Panel Application for F150 ABS Plastic Black Applique Trim Panel

It arrived quicker than promised. It was intact. Looks great. Heres how you need to install. Remove your tailgate so that you can lay it flat on the ground or a table as i did. Get extra 3m or gorilla outdoor double sided tape. The tape that it comes with may be enough but better safe than sorry. The other reviewer said hes would not stick. Here is why and what to do about it. The tailgate has a curve both vertically and horizontally. The tailgate panel is flat. This is why extra tape is needed and the need to remove the tailgate and lay it flat so weights can be placed on top of it while the tape sets. Yes 2 sided tape needs time to cure just like glue. About 24 to 48 hours. It is more work but IT WORKS. The weights help the panel hold to the curve of the tailgate while it sets. The end result is a panel that holds and looks great!

Mine had a chip in top right corner I didn’t see until almost done. I think wider 3m tape should come with product for installation. Hair dryer definitely works and without a second person I just used strips of masking tape to hang panel in position.

Product was really good quality. Only thing I complain about is the 3m double sided tape provided is too thin so I went to the hardware store and bought thicker width and strong double sided automotive tape.To the guy complaining it kept falling off, I assume he didn’t clean the surface with alcohol of any wax or dirt.Mine is sticking no problem and a tip to for sure make it stick is to add many layers across the edge and body of the tail gate appliquéRecommend applying with two people to get a perfect alignment

I bought this item for what I hoped was that nice appliqué finish to my F150 Raptor. After a month of waiting for this I removed the OEM Ford and Raptor emblems as required for the installation of the appliqué. Once the emblems were removed I installed the 3M tape on the appliqué in the manner instructed. It stuck the way it was suppose to for about 10 minutes before it broke loose. I tried more 3M tape and it still did mot hold. Now, I have the OEM emblems that are messed up and the appliqué that will not stay as advertised. This is absolute junk and do not waste your time or money on this. Now I have to figure out what I'm going to do with the mess.

This fit my 2020 raptor with the standard tailgate perfectly. Great fit, def add some extra tape just in case. Looks great
