CableCC 2 in 1 Combo M.2 NGFF B-key & mSATA SSD to SATA 3.0 Adapter Converter Case Enclosure

This was perfect device to do what I needed to get done.

I wanted to see if I could use my disk cloning device from one SATA 3.0 to another and was happily surprised when I input the NGFF drives and successfully cloned from an older one to a newer SSD. Highly recommend. Super easy to use. Thank you for sending so fast too!!

So long as you're using the correct type of SSD, it works without a hitch. Does not support NVMe drives (and it would be a waste to use one in this, as the SATA bus would limit the speed to 1/7th-1/8th of its potential).*Can only use either the NGFF socket -or- the M.2 socket, not both simultaneously.*If you're buying a new drive to go in this, go with an M.2 SATA III drive over NGFF (they'll have two notches in the M.2 connector, not a single notch) for best performance.

It was enough to put the SSD card in and secure it in place but when I went to secure the back on, the screws did not fit.Also, when I went to secure the SSD, I realized there was a strange orange film over the hole that was stopping the screw from going in. Very odd and took a few minutes to pick it off.All in all, perfect for what I needed it for which was getting stuff off my laptops SSD after the screen broke but I wouldn't recommend it as a long term solution due to the case screw issues.

Grandson spilled lemonade on laptop.... YIKES. He kept secret as long as he could. Once fan died parts of MB had corrosion on spots and was history. Pulled HD to recover data and it is just a Chip like a memory module. SSD adapter worked great and was able to salvage his artwork. I will surely need it again, even in my advanced age.

Don't waste your time or money. This unit doesn't work, and when I went to return it and ask for another one I was told no, Inwaited too long, even though the claim was filed within 2 hours after receiving the item. It uses an M.2 stick, which I put directly on the computer motherboard and I got the stick to work fine, so it isn't the stick. I use the Adapter cable on a daily basis, so I know it's not the cable I'd look elsewhere for this item.

I use these to clone m.2 with my existing 2.5 inch drive cloner, as well as one to put an m.2 into an older laptop drive bay

The included scres will clamp the hard drives, not the actual box closed. They are so small that they do screw in and won't grab the actual card.
