This company does not honor their Lifetime warranty
The usb connector fell out of the light after 2 years of use. Now I can no longer charge the device. The company does not answer their phone and does not respond to email. Their lifetime warranty is fake.

DO NOT buy from Magnus Gear!!!
I purchased this light $35/pair and it's supposed to be lifetime warranty. I used one of the lights a few times and tried to plug the charger thru the back of the light, but the metal holder collapsed inwards. I've called Magnus Gear and sent them two emails and no response.... so much for customer service and life time warranty!DO NOT PURCHASE ANYTHING FROM MAGNUS GEAR!

Twice the light, twice the run time of the Serfas Thunderbolt and a Lifetime warranty to boot
I just got these and my initial impression is very good. They have an LED indicator that goes out when they are fully charged and it took very little time to charge them. Both of them worked perfectly and appear well constructed with positive clicks into the four modes and a beefy rubber strap to hold them in place. The mount is intelligently designed to be used as a clip without the strap, or on either the seatpost or seat stays. The literature states that they are only 25 lumen but the light is quite bright and stay bright to about 45 degrees to either side of straight on. At 90 degrees the domed light is still bright enough to be seen by traffic coming from the side. I have a Serfas Thunderbolt LED light that claims 35 lumens but it is no brighter than each of these lights individually, and cost twice as much (one light cost the same as this two pack). The Serfas doesn't come with a lifetime warranty either and, though mine has worked fine, there are quite a few reviews giving the Thunderbolt low marks for durability. The Thunderbolt has about half the run time per charge as the Bold IIs. I'll post more after a few weeks of use, but so far it's two thumbs up.

A bright, rechargeable tail light
Magnus Bold II Light appears bright, and, charges as described with micro USB and LED indicator. I found it takes a bit of pressure to turn on, off, and alternate between LED light options. I also have difficulty distinguishing between the medium and high intensity settings; however, I found the slow strobe and fast strobe options easily recognizable.Although the tail light comes with a lifetime guarantee, there is no information detailing what that means. Does that include the internal rechargeable battery? does that cover the rubber strap for attaching the unit to a bike? does it include the USB cable? -- these are things that I have found vulnerable with such items in the past. It would be nice to have clarification in writing with the information packaged with the unit.Lastly, two features that I would like to see in a tail light are: i) an indicator of low battery so that one is not caught out at night and the unit suddenly goes down (I have seen this feature on a headlight that I own, and I believe that Lzne may have this feature in one of their tail lights, and ii) an automatic shut down feature when the bike motion is inactive after some minutes (ideally, time programmable by the user; there are too many times that I have forgotten to turn off my tail light with the result of running down the battery. The tail light appears to be all that it is advertised, was delivered quickly, seems of good quality, and is priced competitively. So, I am giving it 5 stars on my first impressions. I will update this account if, with time and usage, there is some variation to report. I look forward to using my tail light on my upcoming dusk/evening rides.

extremely basic, with funky connector
I had a similar light for many years. Similarity ends when you receive the light. The mount is not angled, so when you attach to the seat post or seat tube, it points at the ground. Strap isn't long enough to mount on Seat tube and barely fits on the seat post. I am concerned that the hook for the mounting strap will not hold up. Luckily the light is very bright for its size, so having it point down still lets cars see it. Worst part is the USB connector on the unit is awful. Extreme care required to plug into and unplug the connector, to recharge, without destroying the connector. I am not confident that it will last. Battery life is to be determined. I am being generous in guessing 4 star for battery life. Brightness "3 settings". Bright, barely less bright, and slow flash. No strobe or eye catching pattern. I just use it as a daytime running light. Marginal but ok for that....as long as that connector and hook don't break.

reality is as advertised which is always nice. Love the product design
Un-boxing experience is thoughtfully developed. Fast charge and run time, reality is as advertised which is always nice. Love the product design. Low price point of light is evident in the screw coupling of the light into holder, sound and tactile click when turning light on or switching between modes. Great design to protect the mini usb connection inside of the holder, no rubber cap over the mini usb port attracting mud and road debris. The clip is very solid when attaching to a saddle bag. I personally don't like saddle bags and prefer to attach via the seatpost. I am a little nervous about the durability and reliability of the rubber strap. Did an 80 mile ride though on mostly smooth roads and the light did not fall off. Overall, great price point, lifetime guaranty, great charging/run time. I'm a happy customer and would purchase again.
