Great device with many features!
This little mp3 player is awesome it exceeded my expectations when i purchased ot i was expecting plastic at the price point. But i was very wrong this product feels extremely well built with and all aluminum build and the weight for auch a small player was unexpected it definitely has a nice amount of weight which helps with making it feel nice and premium. Also this little guy is packed with features its got a video option, a radio, bluetooth, picture viewer, it allows you to record your voice or other peoples voices and even has an e-book reader and it also has a pedometer and can track your steps this device has a lot more features i can't list them all but i would definitely recommend this mp3 player to anyone who is looking for a cheap device to listen to music on the go with 5 out of 5 stars!

oeiginally I liked it.
set it up last night, inserted the card with the music on it, and all was working. This morning I went to turn it on and the interface changed and it is no longer recognizing the card I put in, and I can not get the card to come out, so now I'm out not only the player but the card. I want to return it, but if I cant get my card out...The slot is too small for even the smallest of tweezers.

Works great once you figure it out
This was a replacement for my first gen 32gb IPod. It finally kicked the bucket after almost 20 years of use. Uploading playlists took a lot of trial and error. I uploaded and removed all my music several times before I figured out how the playlists work. That being said, it's a great little MP3 player and gets the job done. I appreciate that it included the aux. jack and earbuds. Saved me from having to purchase additional accessories. My husband has a sony MP3 player that cost ALOT more and I can't tell the difference.Pros:CHEAP!Well made, seems durableBattery life is awesomeHolds a lot of musicCharges really quicklyCons:Figuring out how to upload playlists takes a lot of trial and errorExtremely minimal instructionsNot the greatest sound quality, adequate but could be better

Exactly what I was looking for!
I run a LOT of role-playing games, and as such, I have a number of playlists I cycle through in the course of a game. Recently, I bought a few different actual MP3 players to save battery and data on my phone & tablet. So many MP3 players nowadays do not support playlists - this one, however, with a bit of a learning curve, does exactly what I wanted. It has three playlists that you can customize directly from the device itself; HOWEVER, I recommend just putting your music files in a folder that you label in your File Explorer, (i.e.: "Creepy Cavern") then copy the whole folder to the MP3 player. The MP3 player handles playing songs by folder - make certain that, while you are playing a song, hit the menu button, and go into play modes, activate folder loop and shuffle - then you are good to go! (Caution: If you choose "repeat" instead of "folder loop," you may be surprised by a Gnomish Celebration song while your adventurers are sneaking through Creepy Caverns.) š Battery lasted long after a 9 hour game!TL;DR: This is a great device, great sound quality either connected through Bluetooth or cable, and is particularly versatile with a little bit of time spent planning, and learning the interface. I couldn't be happier with it! Thank you!

Where's customer support?
Following the instructions supplied with the player I could download no music from my computer's music files. Contacting customer service at HonTaseng (twice) has resulted in NO response after four days. Using the paid tech support service for Microsoft my helper was able to get a download started and I thought we were successfully finished. Only 128 tracks were downloaded , using a small fraction of the 8GB memory. I contacted Microsoft again and spent another hour online with another tech who satisfied herself that the music could, indeed, be downsfully; but then, abruptly ended the help session without doing that or teaching me what I was doing wrong. With multiple IPods I had no problem getting the players synced, a very simple process. (They failed - all of them - by corrosion in the plug ports after a year or two, in spite of squirting electrical contact cleaner into the ports regularly. So when that recurred a forth or fifth time I tried another product.) So, overall, the thing seems to be nicely constructed. It works as a radio okay; and it does function as an MP3 player - somehow. Just don't ask me or the manufacturer how !ADDENDUM: A day after this review I was contacted by by HonTaseng saying that no email had arrived but sent additional instructions for getting the player to work. One more day passed and I received another message saying that my emails had been received but had gone unnoticed. There were apologies, more programming directives, and a very generous and unconditional offer to return my purchase price. NO complaints with customer service (once they actually responded) As I initially said, the unit appears well made, does function easily for its other uses, and it can be used to store and play music from an ITunes library successfully - but, unless there is some trick to it (which is possible because I am no computer whiz) it requires a song-by-song copy and paste download. (And I had to contact Windows Tech support three times and spend 4-5 hours with them to learn how to do this) So, to update, my opinion of the company is very positive; they were not responsive at first but then were very responsible (if not too helpful with showing me how to correct my problem) The device itself seems fine, If you already have your music in Windows Media (or one of several other formats) this thing will work great. If you're like me, with an old library in Apple ITunes , you're going to be able to do it (with help if you're not computer literate) but it'll take hours to download what would have taken 30 minutes on an IPod. But this MP3 player is also an enormous bargain compared to the Apple product - which has been discontinued anyway!
